It's for legal reasons. I agree that this case seems pretty straightforward, but if they reported someone guilty of a crime who had not yet received a court ruling and that person was found innocent, that person could sue them for (I think) defamation due to the impact to reputation. Definitely I-am-not-a-lawyer territory here, though, but I believe that's the gist of it.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I meant that if an adult has sex with an early teenager, knowing that it is illegal and could result in being socially ostracized or worse in Western society, they will probably have plenty of other issues due to "a lack of impulse control and risk assessment." I intended "sick fuck" in the context of my last sentence of that post to be an ironic statement, implying that I'm much more concerned with a person's mental discipline than I am their sexuality.

And yet "teens" is apparently by far the most common search term in porn. Clearly, whether we want to admit it or not, modern society has a sexual fixation on the idea of sex with young people. It's not like boys and girls magically become attractive men and women at the age of eighteen; some will mature physically faster, some slower. The fact is, our bodies are designed to sexually mature throughout our teenage years into a form that is attractive to others. It's not somehow wrong for an adult…

Oh, I agree the guy wasn't helping the situation by laughing and making comments like that.

Disrespectful or not, private citizens have a right to film in public. Also, the police officer did attempt to separate them, it's just that the lady wasn't listening. I do agree that this is a poor example of "pussy pass," though. I suppose an argument could be made that the cop dismissed her initial threats because she's a woman, but, I doubt it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
