I always hear this argument and it seems to fall flat. Gangbangers shoot each other up all the time in major cities, I'm sure they all assume their targets are packing. If you have the element of surprise it doesn't matter if your target has a pocket knife or a glock. If would be robbers knew all targets were armed their first move would be to pull the trigger rather than confront them for their belongings.

She sounds neurotic. She's rich and used daddy's money and resources to become successful, so what? From her words she's clearly unstable.

You tell what people are really thinking based on their actions, not their words. It just so happened that this time her words and actions lined up.

Be careful using them as wingmen. There is added value from pre-selection but unless they are in the know they can pretty royally fuck things up for you.

"I wasn't drunk or stoned. He didn't coerce me. I was flattered when he hit on me. He's a very attractive man that could probably sleep with lots of women. So for him to choose me was very special. It was a chance to satiate my enormous ego." Straight from the horses fucking mouth. You will never find a more direct confirmation of a RP truth than this.

Really the only way to deal with it is to put your foot down with a hard no and leave it at that. You're not an atm, you're some dude she banged once or twice. If she's already hitting you up for cash do you really want to deal with all the future "emergencies"? Imagine if she was unattractive instead, would you put up with that shit in your life?

You don't get mad at water for being wet; you don't get mad at the sun for being hot; you shouldn't spite a woman for being attracted to alpha personality traits. Just remember where you came from.

No amount of pushing and prodding will get someone who doesn't want to be at the gym to derive value from it. It's not just a once every few weeks when you feel fat kind of deal. It's got to be a total lifestyle shift to get any lasting value out of it. To that end I find that workout partners are distracting (sooner or later they will start hamstering out excuses for skipping). This carries a high risk of cascading into your own motivation if you have come to rely on their presence. My workout …

Being a CEO can blow me. If I have no kids, and no marriage, what do I gain by going from 6 figures to 7? CEOs and executive management eat sleep and breathe their jobs. They get compensated amazingly well, but time is valuable too, and if there is one thing CEOs are short on, it's time.

Disregarding things like population, a society composed 100% of TRP style alpha males would burn to the ground in a matter of years. I think the same can be said about a society composed 100% of women. On an individual level I think any given man can decide to be MGTOW, but not all can be MGTOW level 3.

completely disagree with you - it's not too much at all. Everything but number 4. They live in the south, not the southwest, humidity is an issue and if it's not running until 85 degrees they are going to get moisture problems that will end up causing more in damages than paying their utility bill. If they want less air conditioning they should program their thermostat to come on at 80.

The brain dead easiest way to eat clean is to batch cook chicken breasts, brown rice, and a vegetable and season to taste. There are a lot of things you can do with chicken and you can mix and match vegetables, but eventually it gets old. Look into slow cooker recipes that are high in protein. There is a subreddit dedicated to it.

Just read her article. It's only "nuanced" if nuanced means "requires mental gymnastics" to seriously believe it. All sorts of victim blaming, shifting goal posts, and equivocation. For instance: 15 year old kid with autism = same amount of agency and self awareness as a college student without autism. Victim defends tormentors so it must not be that bad. Knife to throat = game gone wrong. Aspergers is not really autism. All of this under a column titled "What women really think."

I won't go so far as to say they are a scam, but if you are not in a high risk group (i.e. child or elderly) I don't think the decrease in chance of getting the flu warrants going out of your way to get it.

Consuming alcohol inhibits your immune system and likely prolongs the effect. What probably happens is you finish the 5th, black out, throw up everything in your stomach so you can't anymore, and then the ensuing hangover masks the flu symptoms.

A lot of these adult sports leagues have nonsensical rules like that to keep things casual. A coworker asked me to join a co-ed baseball league where guys had to do everything with their non-dominant hand. I noped out of that.

I never really gave thought to whether it was a natural phenomenon or not, I don't think it matters so much. I have just learned over the years to operate on the assumption that everyone else wants to hear about my problems the exact same amount that I want to hear about their problems. Zero. I will say it isn't ideal to not have an outlet, but true opportunities to vent, where your audience has a genuine interest in your well being are few and far between for the adult man.

The last point, while it might be true, is not very informative. Hasn't it already been established that women in online dating do better than men on average? Why would this be different on a dating site dedicated to extra-marital affairs? We can assume everyone on that site is looking to cheat. So the fact that more women do cheat using that site is down to the fact that online dating is easier for women. That last point is not as telling as the fact that the majority of members on that website…

It's just that the point of a condom is to sacrifice enjoyment during for a better payoff. The point of the pullout method is to sacrifice the payoff for better enjoyment during. Using both sacrifices the payoff and the enjoyment during for only marginally less risk than a different form of BC. Personally, if I was only going to use one method it would be condoms, as it's something I have total control over. Getting holes poked in them is amateur hour. If you're that careless you need to learn b…

BC + condom is good for one night stands, the pill doesn't protect against STIs. BC + pull out is acceptable if you're paranoid and in an LTR, there are tons of other ways to finish. Condom + pullout = wut.jpg Two forms of birth control makes it all but certain that you won't get pregnant, and depending on the combination has little to no effect on enjoyment.

Just be careful going forward. If everything is good besides your feeling of beta-bucks and you have no marriage plans, control your spending and see how she reacts. You're not showering her with gifts and clothes and free rent are you? This may be an unpopular opinion, but red-flags are risk factors, not a death sentence. You can keep yourself safe as long as you are able to exit the situation when it becomes undesirable.

Keto and Paleo are a great way for people who have never thought about their diets before to begin taking an active role in what they consume. This has the effect of aiding weight loss because the foods they recommend are usually filling and nutrient rich as opposed to unfilling and nutrient poor. Keto does have some therapeutic benefits for people with epilepsy, but I have not seen evidence to suggest that it has an effect on weight loss over and above what happens with caloric restriction.

A few random tips Start with weight loss, as being overweight affects pretty much all areas of your life that TRP is concerned with. Do this by managing your diet. Check with a doctor about your back before lifting heavy-ass weights. None of us here know the condition of your back, and as a beginner there is a high chance you can aggravate a pre-existing injury with bad form. Develop interests in something active, ideally a team sport to develop male comraderie and help you learn to be aggressiv…

I lived with three other guys in college and one had his live in girlfriend with him. It worked out pretty well, mostly because each room had its own bathroom and though she didn't pay rent she bought a fair amount of our groceries and split utilities with us. No one reacting to help someone in need when there is a crowd is a well documented phenomenon. It's called the "Bystander Effect." And it basically happens because the more people around when someone is being hurt or threatened the less sense of responsibility people have. They fall back into "someone else will take care of it" mode. There have been cases of people stepping over a man as he's bleeding to death on a sidewalk after being stabbed. Not just 1 or 2, but over 20.

Would it make sense to try to salvage things with my ex? The answer to this question is no in the vast overwhelming majority of situations (I'm willing to allow for a scenario I haven't thought of, even in the context of TRP). Being funny is a good tool to have in your box. Guys who are naturally "funny guys" tend to let it become their identity though and that is where you run into troubles. You've got razor wit and can make a woman laugh at will? That's great. You can't close the floodgates and every time you're out with a woman it's a mini stand-up routine? That's a problem.

Your frame is the image you project to other people. Ideally you want to display confidence, aloofness, and that you are deliberate in your actions. "Amused mastery" is a phrase that is thrown around a lot and I think it is self explanatory. Holding frame is when you maintain this image in the face of shit-tests and other less than ideal situations rather than breaking into outcome dependence and reactionary behavior.

Before birth, feminists frame the issue as "But what about the mother?" Post birth they frame the issue as "But what about the kid?" "But what about the father?" is never how the issue is framed. For weight loss what matters is strictly calories in vs calories out. If you have specific training goals (ie bodybuilding or running or rowing) you will probably have to pay attention to macronutrients (fat, protein, and carbohydrates).

First, find your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE). There are various calculators on the Internet for this value, use google. Your TDEE is an estimate of the total number of calories you burn in a day. This is based on a variety of factors that you can google if you are interested in the nuts and bolts. If you are a guy it will probably be somewhere in the vicinity of 2000-2200 depending on activity level. Once you have your TDEE you should set out a meal plan that hits a 500 calorie deficit…

I always pitied Ender rather than admired him. He never had a sense of self and was built from birth to play a role he had no choice in (at least in Enders Game). Sure he was incredibly smart and had a mission, but throughout Enders Game it was never his own. He was manipulated at every turn, and it's not until he understands his communication with the Buggers that he really becomes his own person.

The alternative question is: should I forgo dating and seeing women while I'm still living at home? Absolutely not. Living with your parents isn't the ideal situation, but it's only as big a problem as you make it out to be. You're young and you're still in school so it's not like you've burnt out and have nothing going for you. Focus on improving yourself but don't arbitrarily exclude social activities just because you're situation isn't ideal.

My advice is to save as much as you can and get your financial house in order while you're in school. When you get your degree and a higher paying job, then you should start worrying about moving out.

It feels off because the author equates masculinity with rape, slavery, and violence against women and children.

It may sound trite, but if you don't already have a gym routine, start one. If you're out of shape, take this year and get your house in order before college or "the real world" or wherever your plans after high school take you. There is no better time than high school to start lifting and it does wonders for your own piece of mind and others perception of you. In the grand scheme of things high school really doesn't matter except for getting you into college.

I'm trying really fucking hard to imagine that this is not a world in which two people gave this girl more than 10,000 dollars each to watch her play video games. EDIT: It's not working.

No hard feelings. Feel free to pop back in any time. We'll be waiting when your fiancé inevitably ends up leaving you because of your chronic death grip syndrome.

Here's the deal with being aloof. Having the capability to be aloof is just one aspect of being secure in yourself. You don't want to be aloof all the time and you don't want to be so indifferent that you're on a totally different planet. Being aloof for the sake of simply being aloof is going to make you come across as a major tool. Texting: Don't send her a text every single time you have a thought. I guarantee that whatever you have to say is going to be less flattering to you than whatever h…

Then shouldn't all men - attractive or not - be able to play dread game? Absolutely, although it will take different forms depending on the circumstances of the guy. For example, something as simple as starting a gym routine can be dread game if you've never been a gym-goer in the past. She'll wonder "why is he going to the gym all of the sudden?" and the fact that you're taking steps to improve yourself will be in the back of her mind for her to overanalyze.

The core of "dread" is instilling a sense that she is not your only option. To that end, the "alternatives" don't even necessarily have to exist. With dread you're not trying to make her terrified that she's going to lose you imminently, you just have to subtly show that you either have value to other people, or that you are increasing in value. Her brain will do the rest.

My immediate thought is there's nothing "creepy" about a guy making a proposition like that to someone who's blatantly posting naked pictures of herself to millions of anonymous internet strangers. Here are a couple of my observations. 1) Any guy who is going to make a proposition like that has more money than value. The OP and commenters recognize this whether they realize it or not. Their word for it is "creepy." 2) Women on gonewild are there for one thing, and one thing only: the uncondition…

Do some introspection and figure out if you're using online dating as a crutch to mask poor social skills. If you are it's a sign you need to approach in the real world more often.

You closed before, so you did something right at least once. Now you just have to ask yourself what you want out of the situation and act accordingly.

By "close the floodgates" I mean fight the urge to text her every time you have a thought. Without knowing you or her it's difficult to say what the best course of action is from here on out. If she still declines and doesn't even offer a reschedule it's a good sign that you should next her. As for asking girls out, it should be less "hey do you wanna do this with me?" and more "I'm going to do this, you should come with."

You need to close the floodgates. For better or for worse you've thrown the ball into her court, and you did it twice in a row. The absolute worst thing you can do at this point is to keep wheedling away at her inbox trying to squeeze in a time that may work. If you keep saying "or Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday" you're projecting a weak image of yourself.

Their history is that they are best friends with each other, and that they have slept together on numerous occasions in the past. Although they are not sleeping together now, they are still physically close (hugging, cuddling, lap sitting, etc), and they spend a lot of their free time together. As such, she has been hesitant to take the next step with me (relationship level) because he is clearly still in love with her, but she only sees him as a really good friend. I am pretty patient, but I am…

No lawyer worth their salt is going to give you advice via reddit (for a whole host of reasons). If you want a real answer you should talk to a real lawyer. If you want to play it safe then err on the side of getting fucked by marriage laws one way or another.

The idea that you will seriously date a woman, or even more dramatically, marry and have kids with her, buy a house, and then occasionally see her off to go boff other dudes while you hang out to catch some ESPN after putting the kids to bed, well, that strikes me as nuts. I think it should strike most people as completely fucking whacked. I've only ever known one guy personally who was successful being polyamorous and he had a level of charisma that I think most people just aren't capable of. I…

If a guy is going to be poly it takes a lifestyle shift, you can't just decide to have a poly relationship. That always ends how you describe.

My personal policy: If she offers to reschedule in the same communication that she flakes out on you in then she gets the benefit of the doubt once (shit happens) . That being said, reschedule on your own terms, not whatever she offers. No effort from her to reschedule, next.

From one NCSU student to another: make sure to head down the road to check out UNC, at least a few times. Franklin Street is quite a different experience than anything in walking distance of state.
