The transition was a few of my friends' girlfriends started branch-swinging to me, those guys and their BP friends started resenting me. I decided idgaf if they keep their Disney ideals, I made more friends, and my availability of women surpassed my available time to schedule.

Focus on your development and progress first before expecting results. There may be ups and downs. I went through an angry phase after a LTR ended and wound up with 4 plates but in over my head. The next time you go to "check in," make a pact with yourself that you can check now but not again for another six hours. It will help the clingy anxiety to build that discipline, and help your confidence and self-esteem should improve from desperate to being in control of your impulse to check in.
