That is an excuse. I notice there aren't a lot of articles about unfair treatment of women here, and that might be because this is a very male dominated environment. As long as feminist organisations continue to be dominated by females, it will also be dominated by concerns of females, because no one will fight your fight for you. You americans have no solidarity at all, if I may say so. I don't mind, of course. There aren't a lot of feminist organisations in Norway, largely because there isn't …

What's NAWALT and true scotsmen? (No, seriously, I don't know. I'm just a MR-lurker who is a bit tired of the feminist bashing I see as a bit undeserved at times.) Of course you all raise valid points, but I still don't feel I'm fighting for something different than 90% of feminists. I see that my opinion is highly unpopular, though, so I don't think I'll push this any further. But please note that everyone defending feminism isn't from somewhere outside trying to downvote you. I was just sharin…

I don't know, but then I couldn't actually tell you the names of any mainstream feminist organisations either. I could tell you the name of the one feminist organisation I know of from Norway, but they are pretty extremist, and no one takes them seriously. I guess feminism is more a private matter here anyway, but there are some political parties that are very much feminist and have done loads for men over the years. For instance, I have paid paternity leave on top of maternity leave. That was d…

I think they make themselves loud enough to appear as the leaders of a movement, and sure, there probably a lot of people around who are under some impressions that aren't true due to the feminazis, but all in all, it's still a fringe, and my point was rather that we unfairly treat feminists as the enemy on MR, when we should make the distinction between feminazis and feminists, and admit to ourselves that we are feminists, but we disagree with the term in this day and age. All in all, I think w…

I don't disagree that they have contributed to the movement as a whole, but most feminists are still not like these people. They scream loud, they are in the media a lot, and one of them has learned a lot about law in her life. That's neat and all, but it doesn't really make them movement leaders, and if I had some statistics, I'm pretty sure people who hate sex, men, porn and stuff like that would be a fringe among people considering themselves feminists.

I disagree. Dworkin and the womyn-bunch are certainly not the ones leading the movement, then it would have been laughed off a long time ago along with the KKK and other fringe groups hellbent on hate. No, most feminists want equality, this goes for almost everyone, either it's men who support equal rights from their couches or the women at the barricades trying to push through some change, or the other way around. This is really an ugly tendency I see a lot of in MR. You depict feminists as the…

"In a patriarchal society all heterosexual intercourse is rape because women, as a group, are not strong enough to give meaningful consent." Catherine MacKinnon in Professing Feminism: Cautionary Tales from the Strange World of Women's Studies, p. 129. This quote really made me feel happy to see that no matter how sexist anything I do, think or say is, Dworkin and MacKinnon is worse. But on a more serious note, this is not the truth about feminism. This is the truth about feminazis, and it's not…
