If you have an HR department, I would definitely reach out to them

I don’t necessarily think so. I met my now husband at work. Mind you- this was retail, but he was one of my trainers and above me in position. It’s worked out well for us. However, I know some people at the same store that is DID NOT work out for. I think it’s all just down to each individual case and the maturity of the people involved. having his mom in the mix might not be the best :/

I have. He knows about them and how they can be and definitely understands. Still feels bad that I took it out on him, though!

It went well! He gifted me a nice knitting kit, a super expensive, warm jacket (the wind this winter has been no joke), and lots of adorable small things. Not the ~greatest on “submission” though :/ my family is in town and I feel like he might have been trying to impress them(?), but they’re kind of emotionless and awful. I never said anything in front of them but I definitely said how uncomfortable I was with the whole situation (them not getting his jokes cause they’re awful people/general aw…

We had our Christmas meal on Saturday! It was brunch and I made biscuits and gravy for the first time. Total success! We’ll be doing whole30 in January so now I just have to plan allll of that. I’m going to miss bread. If anyone has any favorite recipes or has done it before (and might have tips) let me know! 🙏🏻

Fish and roasted veggies (definitely a 1 pan meal), pasta, tacos, breakfast (eggs and bacon or biscuits and gravy). I have a crock pot but I’ve never used it 🙊

We just bought a house so we’re hosting Christmas at ours this year for the first time! My mom and I made a brunch (husband works second shift and never gets holidays off), and then we all opened presents. No big traditions yet, but I really enjoyed an earlier meal!!! It was so simple and everyone loves breakfast food :) My husband did help us start a small tradition where we pick up a new ornament every year and label it with our initials. I would never have done that without him but it’s his w…

We did long distance for a year (now married and living together). FaceTime and calling were our lifesavers. Having the context of our voices and faces (body language) helped IMMENSELY. Also talking about more than just our days/issues at work helped. We discussed recent things outside of work we did and enjoyed, movies/shows/etc we’d seen (we’re big movie people), activities we’d like to try together when we finally got to see each other on vacations, etc etc. Anything but the day-to-day drag a…
