Don't move it to an account. Cash!

How long were you married? Get a good lawyer. Add up TOTAL income from both of you over the years and she is entitled to half of that minus expenses. Don't give up. Fight like hell! Plus she cheated! I'd rake her over the coals. You can drag this out, she can't. Another nuclear option is to take out all cash and state that you have spent it. Hide it with someone you can trust. Like your mother or brother or someone like that. I won't touch retirement though. That's way too risky.

She is a woman of means, so the good thing is that you might not have to pay alimony if you play your cards right. Add everything up and divide by 2. That's what you will be on the hook for unless you have a smoking gun cause. Also depends on the state. You can rebuild and live well. Settle and move on. Get the best attorney your money can buy.

Sorry to hear this but you really need to stand up for yourself. The first thing I would do is get a separate bank account with her full knowledge and put you paycheck into it. You do not have kids so that's a blessing and she makes more than you, even bigger blessing. Go and get a good lawyer. Will cost you about $5K in retainer but do it now.

Be smart about the situation. I would make copies and/or records of everything. Are your finances separate? What about credit cards? Do you have someone you trust that can help you...like a blood relative...mom, dad, brother etc? Ask around for a good tough lawyer. This is going to cost you a lot of $$ and stress. But you are already stressed and dying inside. Take care of yourself. You will be ok. You have the right to be happy. YOLO! Make it count.

That was tough to read. Seek professional counseling. Your life is worth more than that woman.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
