Yep! The toxicity of both sides' righteous indignation clearly feeds some emotional need, but ultimately just validates the other side's negative feelings. A lose-lose situation. Take care of your own business, have real empathy for others and listen first. Don't be an asshole ‐ a simple rule to live by.

As a divorce attorney, you get paid more the longer things drag on. How do you balance the apparent conflict between quickly (and cheaply) getting to a reasonable outcome for your client and fighting to get "the best" outcome, though it may be hugely more expensive and damaging to any post divorce relationship between the parties?

You have an attorney for a reason. The are am officer of the court and this have a role in keeping the process, and the judge, accountable.

Dude. Life. Don't be a victim. Stand up for yourself, but don't be an asshole yourself. This whole screed comes off as thinking others are persecuting you. That is in your own head. They actually don't give a fuck about you in particular, but just want to get through their day in as pleasant a way as possible which likely includes doing their job moderately ok.
