8	Mayor of Paris fined for hiring too many women I agree wholeheartedly with "hire who is most qualified" but I do think the court battles over affirmative action in court bring up interesting points when it comes to racial issues. Imagine you're Harvard and you receive 30-40,000 applications a year. Most of them are 4.0 GPAs or event 5.0 GPAs for high schools that count AP courses more highly.
