8	On a positive note, my university does a good job addressing both female and male rape in their signs around campus I'm glad about the gender equality part of it. But I really dislike telling people to take care of those who are smashed drunk. Do they have signs telling people not to drink too much? 1	Should there be a registry of false-rape-accusers? Those other crimes don't have false-accuser registries either. We're talking about prosecuting false accusers, the punishment they face if found guilty isn't relevant. Awesome, the victim gets to go through a trial of their own. That's the world I want to live in. 1	Should there be a registry of false-rape-accusers? But in the case where a real rapist is found not guilty, you are left with not being able to say it is a true accusation. Since the dichotomous nature of true and false, you are only able to say it was a false accusation. Woah, no. It doesn't work like that at all. It's already in the law: innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The former is what is meant by a false accusation, yes. Either when a 'victim' confesses they made up the accusations, or when solid proof shows they lied (e.g. the victim wasn't where she said the assault took place when it happened, etc.). I think false accusations could be significantly reduced if false accusers started being punished systematically and if we actually gave accused people the benefit of the doubt in court and in the press.
