I’m amazed you had the strength to leave. I wish I would have! So much wasted time that could have been spent on someone deserving. Even if that someone is ourself. I’m guilty of placing my happiness aside at the attempt of making her happy. I totally understand the loneliness, but I’m not positive that’s exactly it. Like stated above, I could be in a room of people and still feel lonely. Maybe resentment and anger? Definitely hurt and pain.

Just outside looking in, but maybe they think it would cause greater pain? When we lose someone we love, we lose a lot more than just the one person. I even miss my dogs. We reach for anything or anyone whom was significant in our lives. But honestly, all those things, even the dog, would make me think of her. This is a time, for me, to distance myself and heal.

I feel this. I am looking for a therapist. I am trying to stay busy. I am working on letting go.

It’s not you against the world. It may feel that way and seem that way, but you too are not alone.

The youngest is her daughter. She has done everything to split us and I don’t know why. She even texted me asking me how I was and telling me she loves me. That shit is confusing as hell! Like, you love me enough to split me and your mom up. She has lied on multiple accounts and even said she felt uncomfortable with me in the house. That’s why I had to leave once. She came clean eventually and I bought cameras to place around the house for my protection! But she always finds a way to make one of…

I am probably the worst person to attempt to help, but my situation is similar. Me and my wife met 13 years ago. I raised her 2 children. They’re 15 and 23 now. I feel like I have done everything in my power to make this relationship work, but she just isn’t ever happy. She’s very disrespectful and I’ve been kicked out 4 times with divorce threw in my face. She turns into a very very cold person. I’ve stayed and put up with it thinking things could get better. Every time we talked it out and I g…

I feel y’all. But even if I was in a crowded room, I’d feel alone. It’s that knife in your gut feeling. One foot in front of the other I guess.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
