My best friends boyfriend is currently fighting to gain sole custody of his 2 children. The children’s biological mom had the children taken from her after she and 2 of her other children (different dad- who has been arrested for domestic violence against bio mom on multiple occasions) tested positive for meth. They were removed 7 months ago and he still doesn’t have a court order granting him custody because the courts want to work on “family reunification”. Bio mom has violated court ordered r…

Thank you for the well thought out reply. I’ve seen exactly what you are taking about on the feminism subreddit. Men aren’t given an opportunity to debate/discuss. They just shut down anyone with a different opinion/experience. I myself was banned from FDS for just posting in a men’s right subreddit (was simply asking for MRAs to explain to me what a certain convention was about). I truly believe to make this world a better place for everyone honest debate and conversation needs to happen. So si…

Thank you for this post! I’ve been a lurker for a while simply because I thought women’s voices were not welcome here or at the very least frowned upon. I have a four year old son and I’m constantly worried about the type of society he is growing up in. Being a supporter of men’s rights started when I was young, after my dad went through a particularly bad divorce from my step mom and I was appalled at the way he was treated by the judicial system. Long story short: they never had kids together,…

I agree, however we both had agreed that condoms were what we were going to use for contraception. I suppose I could’ve chose not to trust him and gotten on birth control. Learned a hard lesson. I’ve tried to get a hysterectomy so I won’t have anymore kids but the doctors won’t allow me to since I’m under 30, only have 1 kid and I’m not married.

Agreed. That’s why I firmly believe men should be able to sign away their parental rights (without needing someone to adopt the child) if they don’t want to become parents. Can’t make women abort or give up for adoption but men should be able to chose whether or not they become parents or be financially responsible for said child.

I will admit I am pro-choice. However, at that point in my life I was in (what I thought was) a good relationship, had graduated from college and was working full time so I decided there would be no better time to start a family. I absolutely adore my son, he is the best thing in my life right now and wouldn’t give him up for anything. Just wish he hadn’t come about from such deception and betrayal. I’ve wondered what I would tell him if he asks how he came to be, I would normally always be hone…

The father of my child purposely sabotaged the condom we were using after only a year of dating. At the time I thought it had just broken on its own, but 2 years after our son was born we were arguing and he said “I should’ve never poked a hole in that god damn condom”. Never felt more betrayed in my life. I love my son and wouldn’t give him up for anything but that one really hurt. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE A CHILD FORCED UPON THEM.

Ok thank you I will. It is a weird site sometimes, I would think editing titles would be a necessity

I’m gonna have to give that a read. I’ll admit I took a women’s lib course in college for an easy A but none of it stuck. Women would always try and make me feel bad for not “knowing my history” which put me off feminism even more. I was very outspoken in that class once about the “wage gap” and maternity leave, got my ass chewed out. After that I never bothered with any of it. But when my dad went through a divorce I was shown the stark reality of the privileges women are afforded and didn’t un…

Learned a new word today, thank you. So unfortunate that a genuine cause (men’s rights) is being lumped in with problematic things. Thought feminism was supposed to be about equality for all. The more I browse reddit the more toxic things I see coming from the extremists from that group. Seeing the absolute garbage that comes out of the likes of female dating strategy really infuriates me and don’t understand how these women can’t see just how toxic their behavior is.

I didn’t have my mind made up which is why I posted. Wanted more information from those who are more/better informed than I am. One of my friends sent this to me bitching about it, I have since informed her that this is actually PUA, the MSM has mislabeled it, and has nothing AT ALL to do with men’s rights. Sincerely didn’t mean to imply this was my view of MRA. Unfortunately I don’t know how to edit the title. Since I have been informed as to what this is should I delete the post?

That’s why I was asking about it. Was confused as to why it was being labeled as men’s rights. I mean it’s men speaking but they’re not talking about men’s rights. Just wanted clarity as to what was going on. So glad to have so many informed people to help me learn and improve (no /s at all, thought I’d put this incase it came off that way)

I was looking for correct facts. Didn’t strike me as men’s rights.

That’s my thoughts as well. Media needs to stop lumping MRAs with ‘alt-right’ groups.

I agree that the women who put on convention such as the ones you described are insufferable, unhelpful and just wrong. They need to take a good look in the mirror and see they’re getting back what they’re putting out. I am in no way a feminist as I think men’s rights have taken a back seat and that is not what true equality is all about. I’m sick of seeing women who brag about trapping men with unexpected pregnancies, who demand a man pay for everything and if he doesn’t he’s a pig, who take a …

Just ask Hadden Clark what happens when your mom dresses you up like a girl as a child...seriously check him out if you haven’t heard of him
