OMGZ I HATE MATHHZ! (Sorry, reference to below.. anyway). I wasn't trying to make any argument that prevalence does not matter, or that men aren't mutilated in similar ways than women; I think in my eagerness to get into a subject I usually get odd looks for even mentioning (especially as a woman) what I was trying to say got lost a little. I was merely making the point that mutilation is mutilation, and it all needs to be addressed.

I think a large part of the lack of outcry from women in this G/M issue is largely due to a lack of knowledge. If you ask most everyday people what they think of circumcision, a lot won't really have an opinion, having never thought about it. I don't necessarily think this is some sort of "feminist" fault (for most; some are just ignorant sexist fucks), but more a lack of understanding. A shift of perspective and appropriate action is needed.

CAAAWWW CAAAWWWW NO I AM A LUCKY AMERICAN GIRL! Like samantha, or some bullshit. I love this subreddit but it gets a tad offensive to see every feminist get demeaned like men (rightfully) complain happens to them. It works both ways, that's all. That being said, ultra-PC fake-feminist-anti-men ppls can jump off a cliff. Maybe we just need another word for them, or another word for people who aren't them.

I have not seen "feminists" referred to as much more than screechy harpies with invalid arguments, but around the world, feminism is the cause of women's rights and equality, not the b.s. that a lot of american women get all bitchy about.

It differs in that vaccinations, teeth pulling, and surgery almost always have a medical reason to be performed. Doesn't that imply that all men are cut, and therefore that "cut" status is what gains them the ability to make the unequal wage that they get, as opposed to simply being a man? I would disagree in that an uncircumcised man will still on average be paid more than a woman, yes? It's not really an equal argument. This isn't to prove another point or invalidate yours, just to point out a flaw in the actual argument. That being said, my sons will certainly NOT be mutilated.

No, it isn't, (females get circumcised too, often with shards of broken glass on a rock in the desert, held down by their mother), but it IS a topic worthy of serious debate and consideration, as it is mutilation of a baby based on religious faith.

This makes complete sense. I give no influence to color, race, sex, gender, etc but I still get this exact same feeling, like my attempt at not offending someone just offended them. Then I wonder, am I being racist by assuming that they are assuming I'm looking at them funny? Although I've noticed I do this with everyone, but more so in these situations. I'm also a highly socially anxious person, so that might have some play here.
