It seems to work with women on low self esteem issues or with some serious mental disorder for those guys who claim it "works". Still doesn't change the fact that those are emotionally abusive tactics, trying to attack their self esteem and externalise control over them.

Honestly I don't feel a bit sad about these guys. They get no sympathy from me at all. They're douchebags projecting their own insecurities on women, wanting to externalise that control and emotionally abuse women. Instead of self reflecting by working on their insecurities and improving themselves. Their lack of self awareness and cognitive dissonance is quite hilarious though.

I posted this on SLS as well. One guy said he visited those subs to get information of evolutionary psychology as apparently "feminism" didn't help him in dating or to understand why he didn't have success with women.

I think OP is talking about that type of men only, which manospehere shitheads love to make psudeoscience based generalisation being ignorant of their agency and mental health.

I am specifically talking about ted bundy type criminals.

No sane person would go after a well known psychopath or criminal no matter how good looking he is, unless they have major mental health issues. Emotionally unavailable and or worse abusive fathers affect their dating choices unfortunately down the line. Sure some people might go the other way (I would never date or be like my parent) but if you come from broken home and have not dealt with those issues then it really affects them more. Just ask yourself, would you go after a good looking woman …

Exactly, this needed to be said. Sure they don't deserve the abuse and the person who does that is a piece of shit but blaming and generalising it on women's "nature" is just as shitty. Shit ton of women choose caring, nurturing and kind men out there and to only focus on tiny percentage of them who go after well known, good looking criminals is stupid without considering their mental health.

Genuinely good men who are reading this, whenever you guys see such shitty behaviour from guys being justified towards women, do set them up straight. You will be doing a big favour to that girl by setting up an example of what a man with integrity is like. Because these type of shitheads do not respect women as human beings and unfortunately only listen to men.

From what I have read, women who go after such upfront dangerous men come from broken family or have experienced abusive fathers. Look up trauma bonding. This makes them go after men who seem "familiar" and go after the "stronger" guys in order to feel protected and safe.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
