I alternate between being legitimately afraid of these guys and feeling awful for them. I've read posts where the advice has been, in all seriousness, to physically abuse/injure/potentially kill a woman for a perceived wrong. Some of them are real sociopaths, and they've found other sociopaths who egg them on. It's incredibly dangerous. Where in the fuck do they come up with this shit?

I'm sorry, I'm all out of catcalling statistical studies today, i left them in my other pants with my "white people can't dance" and "black people love watermelon" statistical analysis. I guess I'll just have to rely on life experiences.

What did they write exactly? The truth? Can we not be politically correct jackasses every time someone points out statistically accurate observations about a race. Poor men, but more specifically poor black men, are generally the most likely to be seen catcalling. Furthermore, poor black women are the most likely to be receptive to catcalling (which is probably the main reason you see more black guys doing it in the first place). That's the reality of the world. Lets quit pretending shit isn't t…

The primary issue is really that the Republicans can't put together a competent and likable candidate. Anyone that the independents would likely vote for isn't supported by their base, and anyone their base supports is laughable to the independents. They are hamstrung by the religious right who believe in unpopular social concepts and the super rich (and mega corporations) who believe in economically unpopular concepts.

Because autonomy over our bodies > right to avoid child pay... No. A 9 month pregnancy vs 18+ years of unwilling indentured servitude where the penalty of noncompliance is the loss of freedom (jail) is not an even close to being equal. That's not even getting into all the emotional and mental stress and turmoil, or the reality that you have to put your goals and dreams on the back-burner that just goes with being a parent, much less a parent that didn't want the child in the first place. A woman can abort without the father's consent, even if he wants the child. A woman can choose to have the child without the father's consent and force him into child support, even if he doesn't want the child. Either way the father is fucked and has absolutely no rights other than to accept what the woman chooses to do. Forcing woman go through with childbirth is a bit much, it's her body after all. My first marriage was a disaster, and I ridiculously young and 110% beta during the whole thing. There was a bit of enlightenment in there though, I didn't realize it at the time because I had my head up my ass... But the short of it was that I refused to buy her a dress she wanted(we were tight on money at the time), and then when she got pissy about it, I told her to stop acting like a spoiled child. I've noticed it too. I've also noticed that more men at work are more hostile to it. I mentioned that one of our female workers was complaining about a client who was "misogynistic" towards them. We've hired every woman except one (who had major entitlement issues) who has interviewed for a tech job in the last 4 years. They did. TRP shrugged it off as silly bullshit nonsense because TRP doesn't give two fucks about what anyone is saying about them. That's part of the appeal. They don't play the silly bullshit political games that MR has to, because TRP isn't trying to change anything. In fact, they revel at thumbing their noses at the PC crowd specifically because they can. They are simply pulling off the blinders and teaching men how to play the game.

That's not what TRP is about at all. It's bad enough that feminists are massive hypocrites , can you at least get your shit together and not be a hypocrite? The introvert at 20 will be the same introvert at 40, the difference is he will be comfortable and confident with himself because he'll finally be at the point where he ignores all the extroverts telling him there is something wrong with him. The biggest turning point of my happiness was when I stopped listening to people tell me I was broken because I wasn't being outgoing enough.

I tried the introvert into an extrovert thing for much of my teens and early 20s. I hated it, I always felt fake as fuck and wasn't comfortable in my own skin. It wasn't worth it. Despite what TRP says, you do not need to be extroverted to do extremely well with women, nor do you need a legion of friends, especially if your solid at talking with women. You just need a solid small core group of friends that you have fun with(and that woman can see you have fun with) and that will be enough. Find …

That's completely false. You must not be good with words if you believe that. That is why people are called motivating or things of that nature. People change other people all the time Your overestimating yourself. Motivation only works when someone wants to be motivated. Then they start looking for things they find motivational. Trying to change anyone (other than yourself) is an exercise in futility. I'm simply pointing out the flaw with the logic of your argument. Nothing is gained by shaming the girl in your example. She can't unfuck those 500 guys, so what is accomplished by telling her how disgusting that is to you? "Slut acceptance" is a natural progression of the sexual progressiveness of society. It was an inevitability. I have no interest in a society that plays in terms of white and black on either side of the coin. Some women are promiscuous, they live as they choose to live and will (have to) accept the consequences of that. Some women are not promiscuous, and the same applies to them. I will interact with both types in a way that makes sense to me, and that's fantastic. Why am I trying to change how…

That only works when it's the vast majority of a society/community. You're on the wrong side of that majority, and those sort of societal swings don't change on the whims of the few, they change due to cause and effect. You're wasting your time and all you'll be doing is breeding contempt.

Your fighting the wrong battle. Turning down a slutty girl isn't going to do anything but leave your dick dry, she'll rationalize it away without a second though so that it has nothing to do with her and everything to do with you. The best thing you can do is educate your sons so they understand the difference between a quality woman worth getting into a relationship, and those that aren't. Shaming is pointless.

I've always found anger to be an (extremely) useful tool. I'm significantly more capable.. socially, mentally and physically, when I have a smoldering rage burning just under the surface. It gives you that edge, that unbending power of will, desire, and a sense that nothing can stop you. I lost my anger in my early 20s for many years, and it caused me to fall into a state of apathy. Everyone is selfish but the selfishness of men is greatly underrated and underestimated in TRP philosophy Um, no. One of the underlying foundations is to be selfish. To make yourself #1 in your life an be unapologetic about it. Women are capable of loving the same as a man. There is no distinction and no reasonable or scientific basis for such a distinction. Inattentiveness, inability to sit still, violence, and inability to ask for help when needed. These behaviors hurt actual real life boys in school and later in life. You're filtering them through a feminist lens. Boys are not girls. There is nothing wrong with anything you listed if you treat them like little boys instead of misbehaving little girls. Beneficial to whom? You don't stamp on a persons natural hormonal development because you don't deem it beneficial. Obviously if your talking about outright physical aggression, that's something that crosses lines and is not conducive to a healthy society, regardless of gender. Most of the guys in TRP don't buy into the universal truth nonsense. We know there are outliers, and women (and men) who don't fit the mold. And I don't mean that there are only two kinds of women, I mean every woman is different and falls into different categories on any number of topics. Just knowledge. What works, what doesn't work. Why it works, why people react the way they do. Why the world puts on one facade when the underlying reality is quite different. Fought? No. Some people will be hurt by being pushed into a gender role, for instance the sensitive kid who sucks at sports that's dad is abusive or dismissive because he's not masculine enough. Some people will be hurt by not having a proper role-model for their gender role. There will always be exceptions to any rule, there is a natural necessity to generalize in something like TRP. Pointing to those exceptions like they invalidate the point being made is disingenuous. MRA mostly view the world through a feminist upbringing. One where gender roles play no part and masculinity is a chain they'd prefer to shed. I think collaboration of separate homogenous groups tends to work better than trying to force diversity into a singular team. For every time I've seen diversity come up with a great idea, I've seen fives times where it caused teamwork issues because people are on different pages or because of "distractions" that tend to arise in men and women teams. Having said that, you're almost always better off going with the most talented and qualified individual, regardless of diversity. That's the way it …

My experience is that women and girls excel at things like writing reports, giving presentations, writing documentation, and taking non-practical tests. These are all things that academia stresses when given grades. But when you have a real practical problem, or when shit hits the fan, or when you need to innovate instead of imitate, or you need to build something from scratch... That's where boys/men shine. These virtues are extremely useful in real environments, but not in school.

And you'd reaffirm that you're not sleeping around. I'd much rather have my partner ask me for a STD test (or in this case a paternity test) than snoop around behind my back. After all, she's trusting you with her health (and you her). I don't see it as being an unreasonable request. Granted I would want her to do a test also, if she requested it of me. Fair is fair. There is no reason to be offended. Implicit trust is made up romantic nonsense and, quite frankly, stupid. The reality is that eve…

Nah, he wasn't easy to understand. He's easy for you to understand because you know what he's trying to say. The average person listens to that and he isn't making a lot of sense. He gets a couple good points across, but he's all over the place in what he's trying to say.

I do not consider myself a part of any movement, I just poke my head in here every now and then. Having said that, no... It's nothing like feminist claim. If anything, it could do with being a little more aggressive and less passive. It's an equality movement, similar to like what feminism was 30 years ago.

Fellow atheist here. Do I believe religion leads to a more stable family unit and gender roles? Yes. However, I think you greatly overestimate how important that is in modern society. You have little need to look further than the current spread of countries to see that religion has a net negative affect in modern society. It inhibits free thinking, intellectual pursuits, and innovation. The Middle east, South America, Africa, and many of the less enviable south Pacific nations are all heavily re…

I think it has a lot more to do with the fact that the majority of movies with major male leads are action or superhero movies. You don't see these physique requirements in romcoms, comedies, dramas, etc.

Sure gender roles play a certain part in it, but I tend to think gender roles are far more biologically driven than by society. Otherwise their would be a natural uptick driven by feminism, and that hasn't been the case. Even the vast majority of staunch feminist end up in "pink" careers.

/r/MensRights21/11/13 04:52 PM

As opposed to the emotional damage of a man losing a child he wants because a woman decides to abort? Sorry, but there are always going to be unfortunate consequences and hard decisions in this situation. You can't always mitigate all the damage. I see no reason to shield women and not treat them like adults capable of making and dealing with hard decisions.

Your husband never gets angry? Agitated? Jealous? envious? Grouchy? Passionate? Nervous? I find that all pretty hard to believe. I think what you mainly mean is that he doesn't(or didn't) seem to get sad or express discontent.

I'm guess I'm just not seeing it. Men aren't vulcans.. Etc We don't show the same range as women, and we (generally) don't flex emotions without an obvious reason the way a woman might through the day... But we are definitely not emotionless or taught n…

Men seem to be not so good at initiating such effective problem-solving actions. We're fucking fantastic at solving problems. That's all we do, solve problems.
