The girls were ALWAYS marked better on the oral assignments. I remember one of my (male) classmates practiced for the final oral exam for weeks beforehand, made sure his conjugation and pronunciation was as good as he could get. He did his exam nearly flawlessly, even the teacher could barely hide the fact she was impressed. His mark came back as a 73.
