Everyone should read this book. It's one of the best books on abusive men.

Lots of overweight people were sexually mistreated as children. So there is something deeper than just being "lazy". For some people on some level they are scared of being sexy.

But did you insist that you were actually a girl? Did you dream about growing up into a beautiful woman and having babies with a man? There is a big difference between being a bit feminine as a boy and being trans. The trans phenomena just highlights how hormones matter and there are real differences between men and women.

Try taking notes on the youtube videos you watch. Before clicking on a new video, pause and write down the main points, interesting quotes, questions that you have, any inspirations for IRL projects. Writing down will help you to remember. Take a moment and think before you watch another video. Watching a video is not that much different than watching a lecture.

British writer Aldous Huxley in his book Island envisioned that couples would pick sperm from a bank of accomplished men and the ordinary men would raise these kids as their own because they loved their wives so much and because they admired the sperm donors. In China there is a society where people never marry or live as couples, they just have casual lovers ("the land without husbands or fathers"). Men continue to live with their mothers and sisters. They help raise their sister's children wit…

You could also say that TRP is a cult, with feminists as the adversary, AWALT as the original sin, and hamstering/white-knighting/beta-brainwashing as the controlling narrative. Most women are not radical feminists. And, as discussed a lot here, many radical feminists secretly love dominant men. Humans like to identify enemies and define in-groups and out-groups. It's something we do. You can notice this in yourself and others, but be careful not to get too caught up in it.

Read the author's explanation of what happened: https://quillette.com/2018/09/07/academic-activists-send-a-published-paper-down-the-memory-hole/ This guy is a professor emeritus at Georgia Tech and just had his memoirs published by the American Mathematical Society, so he has solid credentials. I find his account believable. This article was a mathematical model demonstrating how greater male genetic variance could evolve, those sort of evolutionary models are published in applied math journals.…

This is mostly good advice. But if you have past traumas and/or childhood issues (probably lots of the people here), it's not so healthy to just "kill that voice". You could, for example, try setting aside time to process this stuff (like a weekly therapy meeting, or writing in a journal, or talking with a trusted friend). And the rest of the time if these thoughts and feelings come up, you could just notice them for what they are, try to have compassion for your past self (as you would for a fr…

Make a list of situations that give you trouble and write down responses. What do you say when someone says "How are you?" or "Where are you from?" or "Do you want a receipt?" You should have automatic responses to these sort of questions. Then role-play out loud with a friend or by yourself. Make a recording and listen to yourself talking, you probably sound a lot better than you think. Even if you "mess up", the other person probably doesn't care. Just keep practicing.

She didn't just play his mother, she played a prostitute who grooms and pimps out her young son. And she co-wrote the script. Throughout his childhood they had a close relationship and she was his mentor in acting. They publicly called each other "mother" and "son" in social media. She encouraged him to break with his own family. And then finally when he is 17 she gets him drunk and seduces him. This messed with his mind and lead to depression. When she accused Weinstein he decided to sue her. H…

In the near future babies will be genetically engineered with prime-quality genes. (China is already working on this, without the Christian unease about messing with human reproduction.) So, it probably doesn't matter so much if you pass on your particular genes. Consider how it will impact your current kid's mental health if you leave their mother and start another family.

That child has 99.9% the same DNA as you. We're all humans, we're all related. The differences in DNA between people are pretty small.

Wow, you are so mean to yourself, even on DMT. Do you talk to other people like that? Do you hate them like that? Hope you feel better now. Lots of women like wild, aggressive sex. It's fun. Hope you found some women to play with.

Stanford online course: "How to Learn Math" You can read non-technical popular books like "Beyond Infinity" or "How to Lie with Statistics" and get an idea of topics you would like to explore more. Then get a hold of introductory level textbooks. Check reviews and make sure you are getting quality books, there is a huge variation in quality. Read a chapter and do the practice problems, this is the fun part.

Get some friends together and rent your own place. Living with someone like this can be draining and harmful. Or the other roommates and you could confront him as a group and get him to move out.

You sound a bit like myself. You describe yourself with phrases like "escape from reality", "real world scares me", "weird as fuck", "surrealist"... these feelings can be a sign that you are blocking out painful emotions, perhaps something from your early childhood (see dissociation/derealization/depersonalization and fantasy). Talk to a counselor. You might consider taking a temporary job/volunteer position where you get to interact with lots of people. Travel. Almost all women worry about thei…

He sounds a bit like my father. It's important to just accept him as he is and appreciate the good parts. Try to spend more time with him alone. Perhaps you two could go out while your sister is visiting. Go on a trip together. You could also visit him at his work and just observe. Try asking him about his work, give him compliments: "Hey, I see that people really admire you, it makes me feel good to be your son, I'm really curious how you do it". Ask about his childhood. Be genuinely curious in…

Yeah, what sort of volunteer work are you doing? You don't mention anything about that in your post. If you have such great charisma and organizational skills then you could be really helpful for some cause (like reducing pollution or increasing access to healthcare). Excellent that you can wear a suit and play that role without being an outsider "activist". You can perhaps interact with business and political leaders on a friendly peer-to-peer level. And since you already realize that fame and …

Definitely true. As a woman I hate feeling forced to "predict the future" and make promises when I am well aware that everything in this world is constantly flowing and changing. Men also change, you perhaps just rationalize it better. But you guys sometimes will rigidly stick to your identity or goals or whatever in a way that is totally sick and beyond all reason. I'm thinking about war. I often identify with flowing water, and then men are a rock, if you will. But sometimes I think of myself …

Omg, I am a woman, you are cute! Adorable. There is nothing wrong with your face, seriously. And you are studying mechanical engineering, you must be smart. You are lovable. I suspect there is some problem from your childhood. Talk with the mental health clinic at your school. Here is a suggestion: go on Tinder or whatever and connect with some older women, 35+. They will be happy to fuck you silly and teach you about females. Best wishes!

It is really sad to see how many men are dominated by their woman. Imagine if a woman "joked" that her husband would physically hurt her if she didn't immediately take his phone call. Men call also be psychologically abused.

I'm a woman and have hooked up with short men. Height doesn't really matter, the issue is if they feel uncomfortable and weird about it. You are studying to be a doctor, so you are obviously smart and ambitious. That is sexy. Join some volunteer groups. Take initiative and start a project. (Like organizing for better healthcare in your state, or whatever.) Just give being a leader a try, even if just organizing a trip to the beach. That is also sexy.

Why would a woman want you with that attitude? As a woman I definitely find money/looks/status attractive. But the most attractive is intelligence, ambition, warm and friendly attitude, and working towards something bigger than themselves (not just making money). Volunteer or start a non-profit, that is super sexy.

She's 19 and drives a BMW (from daddy I assume), raised as a "good girl"? And what are you doing besides getting drunk twice a week? Sounds like you are her "bad boy". In the 1950s this kid would also have been thrown out of school, regardless of whether it was consensual or not. Even today in the US military colleges it is not allowed for a male and female student to be alone in a closed room. The "honorable" thing would have been for him to recognize that she was intoxicated, refuse sexual contact, not be alone with her, and get her to a responsible, sober person for help. The rare times I have thrown myself at a man while in an intoxicated state, I was very…

Some men will "lead a woman on" with an expectation of a LTR and eventual kids, just "telling her what she wants to hear". We can acknowledge that this happens. It's fine to play and spin plates but it's important to be upfront and honest.

Ignoring behaviors that you don't like and responding warmly to behaviors you want to encourage is a powerful tech for shaping others. Much better than outwardly criticizing and controlling them. But if you "flatly ignore" uncomfortable direct questions from a someone, all the while thinking to yourself "yeah, I'm a narcissist!" and fantasizing about being the star of a reality tv-show, yeah, that is not going to go well.

There is a big difference between just getting stoned and using cannabis as a meditation aid. Use cannabis no more than once every two weeks so don't build up any tolerance. Spend almost all your time sober. Never use cannabis because you are bored or want to escape from unpleasant emotions.

Yes. (Woman here.) She is 26 and seeing a 32 year old man. Doesn't matter if you are 18 or 22, to her you are a child. Don't take it too personally, just focus on your life and meet other women. You are going to be rejected by lots of women in your life, have to just accept that.

Advice from an older woman. You are 26, that is really young. You are obviously conflicted about this relationship and you know that monogamy is not for you. As you are sensing, being single can be challenging and developing. You will definitely meet more women. :) From what you have written it sounds like you have already broken up with her in your mind. You also mention being concerned about having aggressive sex. The longer you stay with her, the more resentful and angry you will become. It's…
