Ex mil here: Bad news for you. This is how it goes down. They take your income (if not working, tack on 40 hours per minimum wage) Then split down the center and cash/support, to equal income numbers. For X amount of years. Good luck

You can't stop the bad talking and character assassination in the other home. Maybe filing for sole custody or more even split? I think that is only recourse. Or Hang in there, follow through, do not miss visitation, do not talk about spouse. Then child can form own opinion.

Best advice to come out even. Hire lawyer for custody and child support issues. Do not hire divorce lawyer. Don't accept anything from her lawyer. Let judge split asset.

The answer is. Not safe. Cash it and hold it somewhere. Check this out: My ex took our emergency credit card that was left in house when I filed for divorce. It had 0 on it. She then called to raise limit from 20k to 30k. And put 28k in 6 months. While living in the house and it being paid for by me, and a stipend too.
