you invoked godwin's law. Hitler's writing on animals != hitler's terrible actions towards Jews. Lepine's writing on women led to and was obviously intimately related to his violent action on women. What I was asking was, since his questions in his suicide letter overlap with a lot of the stuff I've seen here (i'm neither calling you murderous psychopaths (lol, obviously) or criticising you as a whole), how do you justify saying his killing women was not related to women?

no, because Hitler didn't kill a bunch of animals. He killed a bunch of Jewish people, so everything terrible he wrote about Jews is correctly associated with that.

I did it for both reasons. Not for fear, but because I don't want certain things to impact others, and given your attentiveness to my account, I think it was fair on my part to imagine you might visit my post history, and I'm trying to preserve my privacy. Is that so unusual? I honestly don't understand the hate here. I asked a question, and perhaps it wasn't in the ideal mr form, but it was genuine, and you can't blame me for being new here.

My other reddit is my personal one, and I sometimes create different accounts for asking questions in different parts of reddit, purely so they won't be linked with any personal information I may have previously posted. It doesn't say anything about a particular reddit, it's just a privacy precaution.

Not trying to troll here, just genuinely curious how you all would respond to Marc Lepine's suicide letter, which, though markedly weird, brings up a lot of things I've seen here over the past few months of reading, namely feminism not being about equality. You can make the argument that anyone who kills a bunch of people must be insane, because it's a crazy thing to do but... he's making some of the same points I see here. And he killed 14 women. So how is this not about violence against women?…

Actually, section [273.1 2b] (http://yourlaws.ca/criminal-code-canada/2731-meaning-%E2%80%9Cconsent%E2%80%9D) of Canada's Criminal Code says no consent is obtained if the person is incapable of consenting, which many judges interpret to include intoxication/being drugged/being passed out, etc.
