To each his own, but I don't think you need to try to actively torture her by letting her see what she's missing. OP seems like a well adjusted individual and really should take the high road here. He really should do whatever maximizes his own wellbeing rather than trying to hurt someone else (even if that someone else is a terrible person). I always try to take the high road. If you look at OPs comment history, you can find the original post. The original post was a Twitter rant against men. I didn't find the comment hypocritical. You could argue that the statistic he used isn't complete, but at least it's a starting point. In the thread, it seemed apparent to me that the other person wasn't interested in any data driven debate. She (presumably a "she") just wanted to fit the data to her conclusion.

This sub is a bit better, but you're right that we also have our own issues with confirmation bias. We should try to improve in this regard and actively work to disconfirm our beliefs. That's the only way to have an honest debate. Name-calling isn't a great way to win over people though.

Yeah, same thing happened to me during a divorce. Got a restraining order on false allegations. I never wanted to see her again, but she kept making false allegations that I contacted her. Mandatory arrest laws landed me in jail several times. But I did fight it and eventually all charges were dropped. Cost a lot of money and felt very unfair, but I'm so glad that's behind me.

Forget ww2. The modern day computer exists in large part due to this man. I basically spend my time between Middle East/Asia and the west coast of the US. It's a thing in all places, but I've noticed the importance of it seems to be diminishing in the US. I hate to be pedantic about this, but this title is incorrect. She *was* convicted. If you plead guilty, you are convicted. The fact that she does not serve jail or have to register as a sex offender, just means she got off with a light sentence. ​ I am someone who has been falsely accused in the past by an ex and I was *not* convicted. For anyone like me who has gone through the nightmare of the biased justice system, the difference is important.

I had to pay my ex-wife $2,000 a month for a year. We were married for 2 years, no kids. Oh, and she already had a job making $100k a year. ​ She made false domestic violence accusations against me. Judge was a woman with a chip on her shoulder. My ex initially wanted "indefinite" spousal support, which she eventually reduced to 5 years ... and eventually only got 3 additional months (which I agreed to during mediation to just fucking end the nightmare). ​ The court system is a biased joke.

Wow. As someone who was also falsely accused by a psycho ex during a divorce, I must say I'm inspired. We had no kids and I was accused 3 times (but not felonies) and was also cleared after a year of hell. This system is messed up. This is partially correct. In the prenup, you can specify that a spouse can movea certain % of annual income into separate accounts (for example, 20% is reasonable). So, assuming he had a prenup and the % wasn't "unreasonably" high in the judge's, at least he could have allocated some amount of his earnings as separate property.

I think we also need to do a better job with the messaging we use. This person seems to think that our position is to have a say in getting an abortion. In reality, we are only requesting to be able to opt out of the financial burden in the event of an unwanted pregnancy. Women have the right to decide what to do with their body; and so do men, which is why we should be able to opt out of a life of indentured servitude.

They are also disregarding cases that are dismissed. My ex wife accused me 3 separate times of domestic violence throughout the case of our divorce. I was arrested twice. They were false allegations and dismissed by the court. I was unsuccessfully prosecuted thrice and she never once faced with any repercussions; she was never prosecuted for false reporting.
