I disagree. I think we have a sufficient ability to reasonably be able to say 'we studied this compound and it does not do anything discernably harmful to the body as far as we can tell, and it is useful, so go ahead and use it.' Of course we'll be wrong sometimes, but saying you shouldn't consume it on principle? That sounds ridiculous to me.

I've still yet to have seen any hard evidence that aspartame is particularly carcinogenic at dosages that people consume it in drinks, nor any that sucralose is carcinogenic at all. Do you have sources on this? At most, I've seen aspartame being touted as an obesogenic substance, but not sucralose.

You can do all the lateral and rear delt support work you can muster as long as your rotators aren't getting hit too. Look up Jeff Nippard's video on shoulder training. You're almost definitely overtraining your anterior deltoid from bench pressing alone.

Please don't do StrongLifts. Go with Phrak's GSLP or something that actually has had someone who knows what they're doing put it together. Heck, even Starting Strength beats out StrongLifts.

But it wasn't the whole argument. I will expand, however. If you are training for the deadlift specifically (only powerlifters and strongman competitors do this) then the deadlift is necessary to train. Otherwise, it can be replaced by movements with a greater range of motion (squat and its variants, deficit deads, SLDL, hyperextensions, GHR), greater load-bearing capacity (rack pulls, farmer walks, yolk walks, squats [elite squats generally are higher than elite deadlifts, whereas the opposite …

To add to this, Adderall is absolutely not one of the drugs that turns you into an emasculated zombie. Antidepressants are, and considering that AD(H)D has such a high comorbidity rate with depression and anxiety, many (most?) adults on Adderall are also taking antidepressants.

You need to get rid of your hysteria and find friends who aren't armchair conspiracy theorists. I've read conflicting narratives to The Selfish Gene too, you know. It just happens that Dawkins makes a more compelling argument than his opposition. What's there not to believe?

Try downing a significant amount of water right before sleeping and immediately after waking. Do something to get your blood flowing before lifting and then some dynamic stretching. Cellular hydration generally takes around 6 hours after initial ingestion of water to hit its peak, and has enormous effects on strength.

http://www.iterated-prisoners-dilemma.net/prisoners-dilemma-strategies.shtml Adaptive is actually the best of these. Also depending on the weights tit-for-tat may not be optimal for stateless strategy; there are scenarios in which suspicious tit for 2 tat, for instance, might be better. But yeah, I think the analogy may break down somewhere here. I'm too tired. I'm rambling.

Powerlifting does not necessitate any specific range of fat. It's not as sexy a sport as football, though. You'll be more swole through powerlifting than any other sport besides bodybuilding (obviously) so it kind of definitely has an effect on getting you laid still.

Not at the same loads, it doesn't. In CrossFit you're just trying to do a bunch of shit fast. Great for women's hypertrophy (interval training is more effective for women according to some study I read a while back) but ultimately suboptimal. Powerlifting is optimal at producing strength gains with respect to time spent in the gym (so one can do HIIT on the side and spend less time to achieve a set result than they would have to with CrossFit and a lower injury rate [you will see a larger percen…

I know what you mean. I feel a similar disconnect from lifting, interpersonal relationships, and most hobbies, despite being an elite powerlifter before reaching adulthood and competing fairly frequently. If you're anything like me, and it seems so, pathos really doesn't tend to hit you the same way as other people. When people personify such mundane activities as lifting, doing manual labor, following a routine, even if you understand the intention behind that personification you cannot see any…

Verbal judo and asking questions first are more effective at both disarming and learning from others than a more argumentative approach. Rhetoric is super important in keeping people listening and interested albeit still having them doing most of the talking.

Bigger women just lack the self-control to become smaller, an important personality trait. I've never seen being bigger make a person nicer. The only situation where that might be the case is when you compare a big girl to another girl currently in the process of losing weight (restrictive diets lead to crankiness)

You should practice more deliberately. This is the common amateur issue seen especially in games like Go, where club-level players will remain around 5 kyu their whole lives even if playing regularly, because they don't deliberately drill advanced concepts.

Emotional connection is a big component of men's sexuality and overall confidence. Glorified porn isn't going to replace real women until glorified porn becomes easier to form emotional connections with than women. Sure, there will be guys who flock to VR porn and advanced interactive masturbation toys, but you're not going to see a major dilution in the dating pool until sex robots start passing Turing tests. Very common and effective technique in psychiatric therapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy particularly) for dealing with traumatic experiences and deep-rooted anxieties.
