Thank you for your response, it does help, though it still seems like so much to tackle at once. I'm in college at the moment, and I have started to sit next to girls in class, and it has worked to some extent, made some friends but no hook ups. It's just there's SO much information on what to do/not to do that I'm not really sure what I should and shouldn't follow advice wise, to the point where I get overwhelmed and give up. I think the best thing would be to just put myself out there, I've be…

But pushing through the rejection is so difficult for me, I feel like a total loser when I get ignored/can't even get a response out of someone, feels like there's something wrong with me.. But I see your point, I wouldn't want to be with someone who doesn't accept me to begin with.

I know I'm not the best with words. On several occasions I'll forget the centrepiece word of a sentence, or I'll fumble and say something completely different than what I mean to say, which will lead to an awkward phase of conversation. Other than that, I've got everything else down. Kino, making sure I look presentable, eye contact, speaking slower so people can understand me, open body language, good posture.. Maybe a few rejections just have me feeling deflated, I'm not sure.

I usually open by commenting on something in the environment - books at a bookstore for example, just to find a common ground. After that I introduce myself, shake hands, ask a couple get-to-know-you questions (not interview mode, just regular flow of conversation), and keep it going from what she gives me to work with. Problem is, after 5 minutes or so they find an excuse to leave, and I'm standing there wondering what I did wrong.

It just really deflates me when I attempt an approach and get dismissed so readily, I know rejection is part of the experience, but it still sucks.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
