I'm in college taking sociology, and the 77 cent myth, lie, whatever, is in my textbook as well. I've printed out many articles debunking the myth, and she seems confused as I am with how/why it's in our textbook when it's false information.

I totally agree. I guess the point I was trying to make was most men don't take a paternity leave. I know for most families(at least in the US) it's not realistic but that's the thing that bothers me. It sucks that that's a norm.

The only point that I agree with (and not because of feminism) is 11. If you have children, be an equal parent. Be willing to take paternity leave and to stay home and care for them when they are young. Divide childcare responsibilities so that you are doing at least 50% of the work, and ensure it is divided such that you and your partner both get to spend an equal amount of “play” time with your children too. The wording she uses bothers me a bit but other than that I don't think many men take …
