The last time I felt like an individual was while I was away. Previous times away I would keep to myself and be overly concerned with if she would approve of whatever I was doing or money I was spending. This time I just went out and had fun the way I wanted to with people I got along with and I felt better than I have in years. Now that I'm not trying to bend myself to her I see how little we have in common. The things I enjoy are completely different than her. I think I went beta as soon as I …

A lot of this resonates with me. Frequency of sex isn't the issue because I feel no attraction to her sexually. She keeps trying and I go through the motions but can't satisfy myself with her because there's nothing there. She does try, but I'm realizing that I don't really like who I have been when I've been with her. It's like I've diminished myself all these years at some attempt to please her. I know that's not her fault but through this process I've really started to realize what I want and…

Reading your comment I realized, she's not going to do anything hard or challenging. We've discussed starting a business before and she just rationalizes away how it can't be done. Anytime she's forced out of her comfort zone, she can't deal. But that also makes perfect sense with her current situation. She's good at every job she gets, but she always finds something wrong enough to leave. She wants a great, fulfilling, well-paying job with flexible hours and essentially no stress. Basically, sh…

She's done it for varying lengths over the years, we move a lot due to my job. She takes care of things well and agrees that if she isn't working she should be taking care of the house, etc. She just wants to be working. Problem is, she always finds something wrong with the job that she can't deal with.

damn, that really hit me. I guess I just don't know how to deal with that yet. Thanks BPP, that really brings it into focus.

Sure I can agree with that. Although, I think in a MRP context, for most people aesthetics is more of a concern than strength. They each have their place. Also for me, I just really enjoy my time in the gym and would have a hard time going only once a week much less once every two weeks. It's fun and I feel good afterwards so I do it when I like. I agree with your point that if your not getting stronger and your current routine isn't working, trying more time in between workouts is a good option…

I can only speak for myself but I have to disagree. In fact, after a lot of years of not much progress, I've gotten great results over the last 6 months from lifting almost every day. I take a day or two off when I feel like I need it but if I feel like working out every day, I do. I will alternate heavy and volume days and that's also seemed to help from burning out. Point is, I don't think it's that serious, most people don't work out often or intensely enough for 3 or 5 days a week to matter.

I absolutely see now that my anger is at myself and has always been. Even when I told myself I was angry with her because of something she did, I can see now the real source was at myself for allowing it to effect me.

I had to google "manspreading" hoping that it wasn't actually a thing. Of course I should've known better, ffs. There should be a "hamspreading" campaign for all the swamp donkeys that take up one seat per ass cheek.

I don't think that's it, it wasn't a major shit test more just a cocky kind of joke, maybe showing off in front of her mom and sister who are unable to keep a man. She actually followed up with, "he knows he's got one free one anyway, I'm not giving up everything we have fire one fling, I'm just trying to learn a little here. All responses have been great so far.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
