Did you read my post at all? Walk away if you aren't going to fight. But she tried to half-ass both.

lol, mainstream Christians do not consider the Bible to be divinely inspired. Ha! I would love to see a survey of Christians asked that exact question. And the word of god meaning only Jesus to "True Christians" not a man-made book...uh, the man-made book that is the only reference for what Jesus may have said or did? lol So, you're saying that Christians openly acknowledge their book is a man-made work NOT divinely-inspired and then proceed to follow the words in it as if they WERE divinely ins…

How about you try this time with sources? Should be easy enough to find a passage saying the exact opposite - probably even from J. Harrold himself! - since the whole book is so self-contradictory. :-) Hey, Abraham - your 'god' fucking sucks, no matter how your various groups of dupes try to paint him. :-p How does a "wait, wait...do over!" new covenant make up for their god being a prick from time immemorial before that? "Oh, yeah, he used to have people killed and mutilated and raped and yeah …

I'm the exact opposite. I'd like them all to give up mythical beliefs, hypocrisy, and immoral actions based on what they think their petty, venegeful dieties demand. In this case I'm just mocking the the hypocrisy of people having "faith" in their Word of God, but then only really following the good bits - skipping the worst of it because it's no longer acceptable in a world not fucking goats in the bronze age. NOT because their god told them it wasn't OK anymore - they just can't reconcile it w…

It sucks being bullied. Tell me about it. :-/ But, the dude was already walking passed, the group was obviously not blocking her from leaving. Standing up (nonphysically I mean) for yourself and and speaking back rationally but forcefully would obviously be an ideal choice if she'd been in a condition to make it. Being passed that point, next best choice to walk away without further interaction...followed a long way back by the choice of rash, unconsidered violence. She did the worst possible th…

No, I'd rather that they all throw their books away and just try to be decent people all on their own. :-)

Having watched the video now - and the minor extra context it seems to add - doesn't change my opinion much. Nobody was a winner to being with, but if it was truly a bullying event - my post from another comment: If so [if she was being bullied], she has now learned(maybe) to actually, you know, be prepared to fight back if you're going it. I am a huge proponent of right, proper beatdowns of bullies by their victims...but this was not that at all. Half-hearted simp of a 'punch' and walking away …

If so, she has now learned(maybe) to actually, you know, be prepared to fight back if you're going it. I am a huge proponent of right, proper beatdowns of bullies by their victims...but this was not that at all. Half-hearted simp of a 'punch' and walking away with your back turned? Fuck that - you teach the bully that their actions have consequences. FIGHT back if you're going to...otherwise you can see that she was able to walk away just fine and should have done so. OR...big OR...could have st…

Fights are fast; a brain might not have the luxury of slowing down enough to examine if your 'threat' is neutralized after your first strike before it would need to start preparing for a second strike if needed. That's why an extra beat or two after someone is down/no-longer-a-threat is most often OK in my book. Takes a certain amount of time for the rational realization that you're now 'safe' to take back over from your instincts.

Uh, source? Even if true, you throw a punch and then turn your back and walk away like no one is going to retaliate? Fucking stupid.

You found your own lack of reading comprehension. He's explaining and making fun of the girl's life outlook - not defending it.

Deuteronomy 25:11 if no one has answered you already. And Matthew 5:17-19 with Jesus confirming that OT laws are still in effect until the end of the world - so start chopping them hands and marrying your rapists, Christians!

So, none of them are following their own book? Sounds like lazy "God's Laws are only to be spoken of if they aren't 'controversial' and won't get me in trouble" picking-and-choosing out of only the 'palatable' sections of their "manual".

I forgot that Christians totally don't have the Old Testament as part of their literally-divine holy book, too. Oh, wait.... Matthew 5:17-19 All Abrahamic followers use texts that are just so morally awful. (to address your last sentence - I have a problem with then ALL)

Both believe that bronze-age goat-herding myths are the Great Truths of the universe. Any differences are tiny and insignificant compared to the fact that they worship some big "Daddy" up there that not only can tells them how to act, but how to force other people to so as well.

Oh, they both do. Just one is a part of an "socially acceptable" "holy" "ceremony".
