Fortunately it's a little more clear cut here in the UK. One Act covers sexual offences and it's very explicit in what the crimes are. No room for bending the law.

The definition of rape is laid down in law, the uniform definition does exist, some people just choose to ignore it in favour of a definition that can make more people victims.
