1	Justice is served The legal system does have concern for punishing the innocent. That's why we have trials. It is obviously not perfect. If we want equality under the law then punishing accusers is the wrong side of the process because the damage has already been done to the falsely accused. 2	Justice is served The problem that really needs to be resolved is this predetermination of guilt or innocence prior to any trial. We get our information from the news that more times than not don't tell the whole story. The problem with sentencing false accusers with harsh sentences is what if they were telling the truth, but for whatever reason the accused was found innocent. Thanks, but if I had to, I would go through it again (Not happily. that was the wost and most stressfull period of my life). I know of too many parents that have had the relationship with their children posoined by a vindictive ex. My biggest fear was I wouldn't be able to be a part of his life. I had to have 6 different lawyers(family and criminal) ranging from $250-500/hr, ad-litem(not a very significant charge). This was over a ~7 year period. trial was pushed over and over. The majority of this time was the CC case with the trumped up criminal charges all through out. I was the Cust. Parent and I think her plan was to wear me down and make me give up rights over to her. Guilty people usually take a plea. That really shouldn't be the assumption. I realize that by taking the bargain you must plea guilty, but there is often more thought put into some of these decisions, not once was lying ever apart of my decision.
