By the very definition of HVM in social media. They have options and will likely NEVER give anyone a serious commitment or marriage. My ideal of a high value partner, is someone committed to me, someone that is an enthusiastic partner.

Those things aren't "wifey" duties no more than a guy paying for everything is a provider duty. Each partner makes a decision and have expectations of behaviors they would like a partner to have. I do things for my partners because I not only care, but respect and value them. No more, no less. Marriage, is a non issue because I would do those things regardless. Now, if i am dating someone, and I get this type of behavior in return? The relationship is done. Im not dating anyone trying to impose …

Why? Because any fool can beg the same amount off the streets to buy a happy meal and see everything they have. Completely their choice. It is NO different than porn producers. I do not watch produced porn. I do not subscribe to OF. Once you take the level of intimacy into a commodity no different than a pack of gum at the grocery store, it loses all interest for me.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 03:38 PM

What magic are they using to "force" you? What army is posted outside your house forcing you? Who the hell wants to force anyone? That just invites trauma and drama. Everyone has a choice and can exercise that choice. Its that simple. Have all the standards you want. Won't change a damn thing in the end. Either someone matches your relationship expectations or they don't. If they don't, you end it.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 03:19 PM

Relationships take work. They don't just happen and aren't always rainbows and coco. Even marriage vows include, " sickness and in health, good times and bad " but yet seems like those vows now hold about as much meaning as a bowl with holes trying to hold water. Your entire post is why men have started walking away from even seeking relationships. If it can disappear over night because of boredom, then why pursue it at all? Better option is to date casually or not at all.

Very simple. If you want that LTR, then be what the man your looking for wants. You don't go to a Kia dealership to buy a Porsche. you are misunderstanding open indifference to intimidation. Your not intimidating anyone, you just aren't what those men are looking for so you rank extremely low on their radar of importance. You just don't matter.

Original Ban (2022): All men 18-60 were barred from leaving. It wasn't changed until sometime in 2025 when younger men between 18 to 22 were allowed to leave.

Circular argument. There are still places right now where men are forced into slavery. Try again. edit Lets add Ukraine where all men regardless of age was forced to stay and fight while all women were given a pass to leave. But that's different right?

And your dead wrong. Some of what your posting is from the 1800's forward. There are examples of women in history owning businesses, protecting and owning property. You need to drill down on the accepted societal norms at any given time period. Spartan, Roman and Germanic civilizations are known to allow women to own property. In the 1650, Margaret Brent is known for having acquired and managed large land grants, in 1793, case of Barnes vs Irwin, she successfully protected inheritance of propert…

There were tradeoffs that tend to get ignored and the reasons why such things existed. Example, adultery. First remember marriages were not based on love but were actual contracts to secure family lands, titles, inheritance and even to secure family and even treaties between warring countries. They knew for certain who the mother was but if adultery was found, it could jeopardize those real world agreements. This could lead to further conflicts. If men committed adultery, the children weren't re…

Depends on how your defining it. Example. If I say to a dating partner " go make me a sandwich " universally it will be labeled misogyny. But if I expand and say, I just mowed the lawn, changed the oil in her car, rotated the tires, changed the brakes, checked all fluids and have planned to cook BBQ that evening, and she hasn't done anything but surf tiktok, then she better be willing to make a damn sandwich. Are you still labeling it as misogyny? Your applying a modern term and applying it to w…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 08:49 PM

No. It is and should be a choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 08:39 PM

Well for instance, this idiotic nonsense of paying for her makeup, hair and nail costs before even establishing a relationship. That is just her preferred personal grooming habits. Personally I would rather see her natural self not some overly made up version. Or how about instead of having a generalized first date to establish if any attraction is present they expect 5 star treatment of an expensive date "for the experience". I was in Dallas and met someone and offered to take them to dinner an…

No i do not. I invest my all into someone I feel is investing in me. If she is a willing and enthusiastic partner then I will return the same 1000 fold. But if she is filling my life with drama, trauma, constant turmoil with demands and expectations because of social media trends, then she isn't going to be high on my priority list. And yes this can include her dating history. If her history is nothing but one night stands and constant hookups but she suddenly has this amazing epiphany and I now…

Wrong and here is why. Even if ONE company is in control, its continued profit is contingent on providing a successful outcome. That would draw in more users from say divorce, new singles reaching dating age etc. On the contrary they are losing users at an alarming rate and men in general except those that try to use them as hookup sites, are now avoiding then all together. The fatigue is real and is getting worse. Tinder is trying to shake off its hookup reputation while bumble is laying off st…

Look at any tracked metric. It doesn't and isn't. The dating culture is dying at an exponential rate. While there are other influences, markets centered around dating and marriage are hurting financially. Match making events are being avoided by men specifically. Attendance rates to clubs are down significantly causing clubs to close. Wedding venues have dropped in earnings. Even flower companies have seen a reduction of profits, higher competition, lower sales and it is only getting worse. If y…

This goes much deeper. I lost my wife due to accident in 2002. Drunk driver. After returning to dating after some time I just realized there was no benefit to me to seek actual relationships and chose to date casually. Even to today I have not met but one who came close to making me change my mind. I have not regretted that decision even one time. It depends on what each individual is expecting of a partner. I've had more than a few push marriage even knowing from the start it isn't on my radar …

This goes further than that. Men are still being expected to fulfil gender roles while women feel they do not have to do the same. Unfortunately men aren't looking for the same things in a relationship so sex becomes one of the few things men are seeking. If that is all they see as important and what is offered, then that is what they will seek and you can see a good percentage have embraced the hookup culture and are no longer focused on relationships. Remove sex and now there is no relationshi…

Here is the other side of the coin. Men aren't going to change. Men don't worry about dealing with difficult women. They will ignore them and complain how difficult it is to try and get along with them. See how that argument is circular? You can apply that logic to either side. Now here is the truth. Men have done the work. They did the math. They decided the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Those still interested adapted the hookup culture or went internationally to find girlfriends and wives or …

This can be applied to just about any subject. You can often find studies and articles pushing one narrative or the other. If you drill down on the sources you find its heavily manipulated and or trundicated to lean toward the outcome desired. As an example, mens lonliness is often attributed to just dating issues, but if you look at the sources, while it is a component, contains larger issues due to little to no societal support. Personal experience, ive worked in nursing my entire adult life a…

Men all gave their own reasons. In most cases, it isn't hatred, its indifference. We simple don't care to date them because the risk to reward just isn't balanced. Younger me tried dating single mothers. More than once and all it did was invite extremes of drama. Between angry children that didn't like their mothers dating acting out constantly and even damaging my property, to angry daddies that inserted themselves just because they could. It becomes a nightmare to deal with. You always end up …

I will take it a step further. I worked with nurses my entire career. i often heard the constant complaints about bf's and husbands and how they didn't know what they truly wanted, choosing gifts they didn't want, not paying attention to their favorite choices in food, clothing, jewelry HOWEVER all I had to ask was " so what is his favorite food, or color, or show" and guess what, They had NO idea. Let's start here "we didn't want to end up trapped in violent marriages as our mothers were". Then move to here " single men have nothing, want what we have, but cannot unlearn the faulty logic of being "in charge.". Instead of just making the point women want to remain single she took a veiled shot at who? The bear in the woods?

I didn't refer to dating but to relationships. I date casually and make no secret of it. I communicate that from date 1 but yet i've had dating partners suddenly decide that didn't work for them and come at me expecting me to just change my mind and let them move in and offer a ring. NOT EVER GOING TO HAPPEN. The most recent was July of last year. I still have dating partners including my first wife whom I divorced in the late 80's that shows up every few years trying to get me to change my mind…

I am not and didn't. Posting rule means I can't post directly to the OP. My points was to show not everyone views marriage like the OP as oppressive prisons full of violence and your post shows it is still desirable to some. The commenter decided to be hypocritical at best and post something disingenuous. My point is she could have posted something positive about women who choose to remain single and empower them but felt the need to flip the negative script to once again just attack men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 04:31 AM

The problem isn't what you posted or your friends honestly. but the constant attack men are being faced with for the last few decades. The OP's post was worded as a side eye attack on marriages and men in general describing them as prisons and full of violence. I myself have gone from the traditional mindset of chivary, and being helpful first responder, nurse, volunteer fireman to now just deciding to walk away from basic society and ignore everyone except those I have established relationships…

And as usual you missed the entire point. This is NOTHING to do with them wanting to be single. She clearly used it to dig in the spurs about marriages to men being northing more than jail cells and full of violence. " trapped in violent marriages as our mothers were" This is a direct attack that all marriages to men are full of violence. Take a look at the data now that we have enough to research. Bisexual women showed the highest prevalence (61.1%-68.8%), nearly double that of heterosexual women (35.0%-36.0%). Gay men experience IPV at rates of 26.0%-37.7%, while lesbian women encounter violence at rates of 43.8%-46.3%, both exceeding their heterosexual counterparts. Absolutely you can. Go do it. Stop running around demonizing the other half of the population because you made that choice. If your not interested wonderful, 100 percent support you. We are doing that. We get demonized for refusing relationships and demonized for NOT wanting relationships. If you don't want a relationship awesome! go bugger off and enjoy your life! Well the truth is men are sick and tired of being demonized by such insane rhetoric. We are walking away from marriages and relationships en mass and actively avoiding it. The statics show while we may WANT such relationships it just has too many negatives to seek it out. I am so damn sick and tired of hearing this social media BS rhetoric OP just spouted. Men have not all been trapping women in marriages and do not go around trying to be violent to their spouse. You don't want to get married or want to be the independent person? Awesome! Good for you! GO DO IT. The majority of the world still focus on having traditional relationships. On that I will agree. What this does is bring into focus why the dating and relationship dynamic has just devolved in western dating. I get why they both decided to get married. He wanted the trophy wife and she wanted the lifestyle but she publically insults and is dismissive of her husband and you can even see he is almost exhausted dealing with her. This eventually is going to blow up. If they both are getting out of the marriage what they want, great but they both should support and respect …

She has zero real respect for him as a partner or the relationship. The way they both refer to the relationship is eye opening. Akaash is making himself out to be a joke and a perfect example of "simp". The woman claimed to be a virgin then brags about missing " popping her pussy" for every chad in school. If you watch closely how she acts around him, that woman doesn't love him she loves the lifestyle and money he makes. He isn't a respected partner. He is a good example why men should NEVER do this. She has lied to this man at every turn.

ok fair warning, unpopular truth following. Yes it does. Let's drill down. Relationship dynamics are in the toilet. Every measurable metric proves it. Stable happy traditional relationships have become the exception. They are fast becoming a thing of the past. The guys who realized it and adapted learned how to adapt, take the opportunities available to them and profit from it. The difference between men ad women is women work with in the framework of feelings and emotions and men often do NOT. …

NO matter what choice of lifestyle you choose, and this includes "hoe" phases or not chasing that phase there are pros and cons. Each have to decide if those are worth that choice. This also includes feeling safe while pursing such hookups. Lets be real. Risk vs reward. If the reward doesn't at least give an even return on the investment, best to just not do it. Given the state of dating there just isn't any benefit other than basic companionship to approach someone for an actual relationship that in the majority of cases will be full of nothing more than drama and trauma. To clarify, if I say married someone and lets say at 10 years after kids, house vacations etc. If I overheard or for what ever reason found out she lied and I was the backup choice, then the next day lawyers would be consulted. They did adapt. Just not in the way women expected or wanted. They just chose a different path. What worked for you won't work for someone else. Im not sure I would label it that depending on the time frame being discussed. At the time of history I referred to, and how important child birth was to the success or failure of a given culture with the inherent dangers, that status and protection was required. Heres the thing your missing. choice. In nature and natural selection, some of the expectations or standards people are using to make those choices are just that a choice. In nature and even at the dawn of humanity being able to breed was based on who was the strongest or the better opportunist. we could return to the "natural" state where strong men just took who they want but I do not think that would be the best idea.

Honestly, you can only be honest about it but it is likely going to be very very difficult to find anyone who will want a relationship. Sex builds and maintains intimacy and most people want enthusiastic sexual partners. You may need to consider someone that has the same issues, maybe compromise with an open relationship or similar so they can seek sexual fulfilment elsewhere.

I agree with this surprisingly enough but here's the rub. Those men will never commit. There will always be someone willing to offer what those guys want. I date casually, am very upfront about it and in no way interested in that commitment. If someone says no, awesome there is someone else that will say yes. If everyone collectively decided to change, there will still be options. Basically, you want a commitment? Date with intention, not only choose someone that has that same level of commitmen…

Just because she got baptized and forgiven doesn't mean she automatically becomes a good choice to partner with. You take any repeated violent criminal in jail, you will find a majority suddenly rediscover religion, right up to the point they get released and repeat the same violent crime or worse. The same idea fulls the posts. She prostitutes herself for 11 years, and I didn't view the post to be honest and do not know the details but suddenly finds religion, gets baptized as shes likely tired…

To clarify, it isn't love advice. Its an observation. If he is behaving in such a way it pisses you off, that includes doing a large percentage of house care and he doesn't change and yet you choose to stay. Thats your decision, and your just enabling him at that point. And my point, if he values you as you should be valued as a partner, he would behave accordingly. All people invest where they see value. Its a old salesman trick. If someone really values something they will find a way. If they …

Im the wrong one to put that argument to. My wife tried that argument of "wife's work". She tried that argument after girls at her college got into her head and conducted an experiment she designed to test it. It backfired spectacularly. Didn't even last 4 months and she begged to end it. Turns out she wasn't putting in close to the effort I was. I am from that generation. I put my wife through college, took care of all finances, house and car maintenance, cooked (used culinary degree to put mys…

Actually, if things get that desperate, just historically speaking, you may find yourself in a worse scenario. But hopefully wont happen.

Find a study detailing how many men have done so. I doubt you will find any because its so very rare. The truth is men have very limited reproductive rights. At any time a mother can walk away mostly judgement free with no obligations but men are judged for it and considering paternity fraud is over 30% of cases that are known. Your example, to let the baby die is disingenuous. This is why other options are avaliable. They still won't be optimal for the child. The truth is, there is no easy answ…

Except that doesn't always happen. Any mother can decide to give up custody by dropping the baby off at any safe haven like a fire station etc and walk away without one question but if a father tries to do the same, including a one night stands accident, he is labeled for life. If your going to try to shame one gender, you need to focus on the bigger picture.

Perfect example of why men are making the choices they are. Lets hope your area doesn't experience what happened in Ukraine. You may find yourself in a dire situation and no one around to help.

I think its long overdue. Personally, I've gone on record that the vasectomy was my best decision. Even with that and using condoms, I've had 2 separate dating partners try to hit me with paternity lawsuits hoping to force child support and or a long term commitment which they knew from the first date I was never on board with.

Wasn't aware of that study good to know. Another addendum, they just past first human study of a BC pill for men that looks promising. If it works as intended, that could increase that number exponentially. Men will finally have an alternative to surgery to control reproductive rights for themselves. No more "surprise, your a dad" dates.

There are examples already. South Korea and China also for that matter. I would need to look. Last article I remember had hundreds of "successful " women attending match maker events looking for relationships and having very few men attending. There seems to be a huge gender imbalance. They made it so difficult that men in those areas just quit trying. That trend is now being repeated in western areas. Even now, those events are noting limited to zero interest in men to attend, and the club scen…

Actually, no. Why? Social media. Our connectivity to the internet is both a useful tool and a huge weapon. Those ideals are being pushed out to a high degree which is where we see all the conflict get escalated. There will always be "spern donors " that will provide. The issue is, those same women may have children but never experience a long term commitment they may want or expect. That trend has been studied and is trending higher per year.

And if he jumps to those responses, that's where I say it begins to enter extreme territory. That in itself to me is a problem and my main issue with social media pushing these agendas. Again, the issue is compounded by just enough truth, the extremists use it to push the agenda. Yes it can happen, and men are tired of being used in such ways and it doesn't help when we see videos of bragging about it happening, but as with the labels, its often applied to all interactions which isn't fair to an…

Your right, I don't know you or your bf, which is why I didn't point to either specifically. Yes, those dynamics can influence behavior especially if taken to extremes as I stated. The lingo buzzwords are being used heavily because its become the normal response. Personally, I wish all of it were tossed in a garbage bin. Again, it isn't manosphere antisocial behaviors but antisocial behaviors in general. As with most such dynamics there are 2 sides to that coin and they both feed heavily into ea…

Well you can view it from the standpoint of the Ukraine situation. Women were allowed to leave, men were required to stay. They've put up a hell of a fight because they are protecting their homes and families. If they didn't have those homes and families, its possible a good percentage of those men would have just surrendered and left. Op's mistake is thinking men will still stand up and say " I need to do x,y,z" to be accepted but in reality the men are just shrugging it off and choosing a diff…

I would call bs on this. Why? Because it might not be red pill but just a difference in viewpoints. The behaviors posted aren't limited to any pill dynamic. It is bad behavior regardless. My ideals were built off personal experiences, watching friends relationships over the years and from my own expectations in a relationship and were formed way before any of this pill nonsense or mansosphere. The issue is those ideals have just enough truth behind them to have weight and is taken to extremes. T…

Single mothers can have all the standards they want, and not settle. But men have that option also. It isn't intimidating to men, its our preference.

What your missing is men are adapting, just not in the way it was expected. Right now men have 3 options. Seek relationships internationally and finding someone that matches their ideals, choosing to stay single and date casually or to use professional services for intimacy or just walking away completely. You can see by statistics men are opting out of traditional education opportunities. College admissions and acceptance is much lower and dropping. The push to get a career and family is being …

If I were dating someone, and saw real potential, you wouldn't have to ask, id pull it into my shop and rebuild it. Come at me with an expectation of "you fulfill all of x,y,z while you should expect zero return " that card can sit and rust. I'll find a more compatible partner.

If you don't exhibit wife or husband behaviors while dating, its likely never to happen after marriage. A title doesn't magically enable those traits. Its a title, no more, no less.

Awesome, ill pay for the groceries, you get in the kitchen and cook it. Wait? You don't want to cook for a date?? Great, stop expecting gender role treatment if your not willing to fill a gender role. Everyone has a choice. We dont break rules for "Stacy ". We pay for partners that show us they are worthy of that investment. Why should we pay for anything before we know you want to date us and not just want a free meal? WE dont want to be settled for. Your argument is circular.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/25 03:49 PM

Honestly, I doubt you will find one on dating apps. Most of those guys are wanting hookups. Those that want to get married are already married for the most part. I am one of those guys that see zero benefits to a marriage, its just way too many negatives not offset by any real positives. There is nothing to gain that I cant have by casually dating.

It is for them to decide. But when they sit and complain constantly they cant find someone it starts the conversation. When the question is asked and they give out a list of expectations not even a Greek god can fulfill that is unrealistic. I am not offering a damn thing. Retired early very comfortably, i spend more money on rebuilding my hobby projects than any self care bulld lol while only dating casually and have been since early 2000's and quite frankly their financial portfolio means nothi…
