Thank you for naming this procedure. I have not discussed my issue with a doctor yet. However, researching about phimosis online, it only showed circumcision and in my city, laser circumcision is the norm. However, any doctor would first try a steroid cream for pulling the foreskin before any kind of a procedure.

I heard that there is a steroid cream which helps in pulling back the foreskin. Generally doctors try this before the surgery. There is also a newer technique in which they do circumcision with a laser. That is way better than conventional surgery as there is very less blood loss, minimally invasive, is a 15 min procedure, better aesthetics of penis, very low chances of complications, a 1 week recovery time and no/less stitches. I have to get it checked by a surgeon. But most probably it will be a surgery. At least in India, circumcision is not done for cultural or religious reasons for most non Muslim boys.
