2	Thoughts On The Sigma Male If you're familiar with James Hunt and Niki Lauda, I think they are a real world example of the difference between alphas and sigmas. Hunt was one of the ultimate alpha/playboy/chad personalities ever. Lauda on the other hand was very much subdued, not at all outgoing and yet was in his own way every bit as formidable as hunt.
