I can relate to having dark circles, I struggle with that too. I in general have issues with allergies, So sometimes wearing anything near my eyes really irritates them. So, it does annoy me sometimes, especially since I haven't really been able to find a decent concelear to really help. And Thats good at least hes able to tease playfully about it :)

I'm sorry you're mom would say those things. While I'm sure she meant well..it's just not all about that. People definitely break up for many other reasons. I'm 22 now and It's taken me a while to get more confident in how I look but I have reached a point where I'm happy if I have zero makeup on. I can still have a favorite outfit on and feel just as confident 😊 Of course sometimes I love trying new looks out but I'm not embarrassed anymore or worried about what someone is thinking of me. And t…

I can see that. But he also should trust her. Unless he has an actual reason to believe she's being unfaithful. He should be happy she's showing interest in wanting to look better. If makeup makes her feel confident why not? I just wouldn't feel too comfortable with any man dictating when or where I wear makeup. That's more of where I'm coming from.

I agree with the previous comment just start slowly introducing the idea of makeup to him. He wont be so overwhelmed and eventually I'm sure he'll come around and even like it. But it doesnt make you in any way "trashy" or mean you're trying to impress other men. It's okay to want to enhance your looks a little more. If it makes you confident by all means wear some.

I appreciate that. Learning the hard way I just am going to have to be a lot more cautious about his ideas of the future. So I wont be blindsighted in the end.

I can relate to that. I used to be very obsessed with this "super independent" mentality, I never wanted a man to help me and of course not to take the lead. I was very opinionated and ready to bite at any man that I didnt agree with at the time. Thankfully I got out of that. It doesnt help when mainstream media pushes that mentality soooo much.

No, I never used to be like this. It wasn't until the age of around 20 that I started questioning things. The boyfriend I was dating at that time was thr complete opposite of redpill. After a while of dating him I just was miserable. He was very anti kids, lazy, had this very anything goes mentality. He was extremely beta. He also always said I was way too emotional and got annoyed anytime I tried to discuss things with him. He just went with the flow with everything. To him if you ever voiced y…

Yeah, grad school is just too expensive unless I could get a good scholarship I probably wouldn't go. I'm definitely going to work in finding exactly what I want to do. Good advice :)

My main concern is the fact that he lied. Even if it was "innocent" why couldn't he tell you the truth then when you asked? My boyfriend and I have a strict 100% honest policy no matter how bad it is. And I trust that he will keep that and tell me everything even if it's not so good. And I make sure to keep that promise too. And I never would talk to a guy like that while I'm in a relationship because to me it's asking for trouble. If I tell some guy online he's cute that opens things up for the…

This would not be okay with me. You did the right thing. You deserve way better.

I'm going for business administration right now, but I am considering switching to graphic design. Mainly because I'm nervous that a BA degree is a little too generic and I'm worried if I can get a good job.

That makes sense. And I really don't want to put myself in a situation like that. Because I do want kids one day, so I know I have to make sure the partner I stay with is the best fit. And I would never want any kids until I'm actuallly married and know the person would be in it for life.

That's true. I do not want to get my hopes up for nothing and to put all the effort in. And I agree, it is too soon. I honestly should have told him to slow down and we could discuss all of this "future" stuff later.

Good tip😂😂 I'm already pretty introverted so I keep to myself most of the time anyways.

He's joked with me a few times that he might be a little crazy to want to do SF 😂 and told me one story of his dad (he was military too) about almost completely losing his eye.. As if it was just everyday thing. So yeah if I focus too much on thsoe things I would be crazy! Haha.

I'm glad at least I'm learning some of this so early on so at least I'm not blindsighted. And honestly soemtimes I do get too carried away thinking about all the dangerous things he could do, so yes I think I will happily deal with not knowing LOL.

I can't even imagine how tough that must have been. Especially on top of having to raise children. I will definitely be researching more and more about the lifestyle. I really know very little about what he does, (he keeps alot of it to himself, so I try not to pry too much) but I do know that he's training to do special forces.

I really appreciate this. It definitely gives me a new perspective about all the unfortunate harsh realities to the military life.

Honestly, I met my current boyfriend off of tinder. It does have it's reputation for being a hookup site, but honestly I was just 100% unfront on what I was looking for and it helped eliminate all the wrong guys. I finally found someone who was right for me. I used Bumble in the past which I liked as well.

Funny story anytime we go for a hike or go to a park he will get so angry at me if I wander too far alone without him LOL. He told me once I don't need to do that because what if someone tried to grab me and he wasn't there to kick their ass. And continued to lecture me that anything like that can happen and I need to be better aware of my surroundings (I was also on my phone) It was the sweetest thing and not one guy I've ever dated has said anything like that.

Thank you for the advice! I agree, I see now that I am just going to have to get more of a real answer of what he thinks of the future before I would be able to commit to moving in. That is just not something I would be able to budge on. I feel way too strongly about it.

Thank you for being so honest about how this can be. I needed to hear that. I've read some of the horror stories myself online, which I admit at first was really hard to take in. Honestly before this guy I swore to myself I would never date someone in the military. I feel I can handle it because I am already prepping myself now to get used to the idea that we just will not have a "normal" relatuonship per say. I do feel like I have a fulfilled life outside of him and I am currently working on th…

The thing is (sorry if it wasn't super clear in my original post) marriage is no rush right now. The only reason I'm concerned is because he's talking so much about the possibility of moving in. So it made me go a bit crazy I guess. We're both still so young and I feel I myself have alot to growing up to do first. I just want to make sure I am not wasting my time and energy on someone who in the end will not 100% give me what I want in the end. But, thanks you're right. I do need to just take it…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
