I'm assuming Canada, because of that stereotype, and we have aggravated assault on the books. An aggravating factor in law is one where the sentence should be more severe than it would otherwise be. Aggravated assault is not assault with an aggravating factor, it's "268 (1) Every one commits an aggravated assault who wounds, maims, disfigures or endangers the life of the complainant." it is a very high threshold to meet. Of course if you're from somewhere else I'd love to have that law citation …

It's actually easy. I do garnishments regularly including pi work (though I've barely done that the last few years). All I used to do was send payment and then we'd garnish wherever it was sent to. It was proof there was income going to that source, and that was sufficient to the get the garnishment in motion. A lot of people don't realize you can garnish pretty much anything and if you can't garnish you can seize. You just have to know the legal system and be about savvy or have a good PI.
