You are right. Resources are finite. What exists is a ratio between production and population, when production reaches a (really large) number of times greater than population then we could say there is no more scarcity... for that population, the problem would arise if the population increases thus reducing the ratio. I do believe mass automation will lead to this certain 'no scarcity' ratio... for a while, then population will grow and adjust to more resources and we will be back at square one…

If you are arguing objective things which I assume means using logic, then you should now something is true only if it universal. One thing that has helped understand a lot in general is austrian economics. I recommend it and also Ludwig von Mises' book on Socialism, he basically proves it is bound to fail.
