No like I knew it was a thing, but he just explained it in a really good way. I don’t ever say anything mean to him in fights and it actually pisses him off (jokingly he says this) and his sister told me he doesn’t know how to be with someone as nice as me. 😹

yes exactly! I do not want to be added stress at all, I just wanna let him have space and think things through feel comfy when he’s home. And usually if I just leave him alone like you said, he will tell me it all in the next day or so when he is ready. So yea I agree with a lot of y’all and think just letting him do his own thing is best. Thank you. :)

What kind of gestures do you like personally? I would actually LOVE being asked if I want a hug, but that’s just me. I’m sensitive as fuck and cry very easily. My bf knows hugs will cheer me up if I am sad and he knows I am VERY upset if I decline the hug offer. It kinda shows how complicated all humans are and we really have to listen and observe what makes our partners feel better. 🥺

No, thank you, that is still really helpful. English is not his first language either, so I have to be really careful with what I say/how I say it. We have enough misunderstandings as it is! lol

Can I please ask your advice on something? I need a man’s perspective. I HATE asking “what’s wrong” and I try to let my bf have his space. Is there anything I could do during that time that would make him feel more comfortable to talk to me? Like is it best if I literally just leave him alone and do my own hobbies? Or should I try to be a little extra nice if he is obviously going through something? Even if I don’t know what is bothering him yet, I still want to help, but idk if that would make …

The playful vibe annoys me in public and makes me feel embarrassed to be seen with a goofball, if I am being brutally honest. I like planning and strategizing things for my future, I would prefer a serious approach even in the mall. I don’t like being loud and drawing attention with loud jokes or talking. I hope this is making sense. I am just a very serious person and most people think I am a bitch. The man I am seeing now is extremely serious to the point the last time we talked, he got in my …

I agree with all of these except the “having fun” one. I personally prefer a quiet, reserved, more serious type. I think that one depends on the girl.

Ya I can't tell from his writing either, but I tried to answer his question as best as I could with my anecdotal experience/preference. I've also worked off and on as a stripper, dealing with horny guys the whole shift. The attractive ones are usually the assholes. It's something psychologically about them that turns me off. Relationships for me aren't all about looks, I don't plan on having children and I'd prefer to be treated nicely than having or being arm candy. I always feel weird giving a…

I'm an attractive girl, but I like to date "ugly" guys (my friend's words). They say my boyfriends are lucky to have me, but like they say that literally for the only reason that I'm attractive. I feel lucky to have them though because they usually treat me really nice. I was at a gaming/cyber cafe with a hot bf and I asked him if he could please get my jacket from his car because it was cold inside and raining outside. He said, in front of people, "no. Why should I have to suffer so you can be …

Hmm it can be situational, like if she has a book next to her (don't interrupt her if she's reading), ask her what it's about. Do something kinda cheesy: go up to a girl and say, "hey I don't mean to be weird, but you dress really nice and I don't have a female opinion..does this sweater look okay on me?" Listen to NPR to hear about local events, they often serve free alcohol and you can mingle with people before/after it starts. Or since you're in college there's probably a lot of stuff adverti…

Hey, I'm sorry you're going through this. College is a weird time lol. My mother got pregnant rather young and actually walked the stage for her diploma while I was still in her belly. :p I think it was a cultural thing for women to get pregnant at an earlier age for her generation. I grew up my whole life hearing, "don't rush to get married, focus on yourself, don't get pregnant right away because you get stuck and you can't travel or finish your dreams." Maybe not all girls grow up hearing thi…

Hey OP, it makes me really happy you said this! I've needed friends so many times in my life and wasn't ready for relationships at the time a guy asked me out. I would be honest and say I wasn't ready, we could still be friends, but then they would ghost me. They never wanted to be my friend, they just wanted to smash. That really hurt my feelings and made me feel like I wasn't worth being a friend, just good for one thing. If you're genuine and honest with the girl you like, she should apprecia…
