You can't learn humor. You've got it or you don't. The person next to you either shares the same type of humor or not. There is no "right" humor. You can't learn the "propper" humor. People in this sub believe there is a magic formula for everything. While yes, some people are born with it, humor is still a skill. It can definitely be learned to a certain extent. Might take very long but definitely achievable.

I used to have this problem and still do. Start reading books, or even better essays on topics that might interest you. It will help you articulate your thoughts better. Also read reviews for movies as soon as you watch them, that will give you an idea on how to analyse and relate to the plot. A great reviewer to start with is Roger Ebert.

Being not comfortable might be something which is holding me back. But generally I do feel like I'm comfortable around people and talking about things around me.

Well that is what I thought at first. I do have ADD but I can't relate to point OP is making at all. I have a tough time talking to people (no, I dont hate people and I have no issues in approaching people. As a matter of fact, i'm pretty good at opening up conversations) . I can't think of things to talk about, ie, a lot of awkward silence. Also, about #5, are there any resources which can help me be funny? I know its something that you are born with but I'd still like to believe that it can le…

I see your point and I will try to implement it as much as I can. But for how long? At one point or another I will run out of things to comment about or the conversation would just get mundane.

I do not have any problems with approaching a girl and starting a convo with her. But after that its all downhill. I don't know where to take the usual "Hi! I am yamraj212...." I know people say be interested in the person and ask them questions about themselves but in that situation my mind just goes blank and I can't really think of anything to talk about. Any solutions for this?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
