How so? I honestly haven't heard anything about this chick until just now, what's about this legal case she's in?

Again, until you provide reliable sources I'm forced to take your word for it, which I am far from inclined to do. If you can't provide facts, you're just spewing bullshit.

Your way of rationalizing is disturbing. There are numerous reasons why the US is running out of doctors, blaming it all on females who leave the workforce is just ridiculous. Nevermind all the female nurses in the health industry, but of course that's okay for them because that's one of the roles you deem acceptable for them. And again, you've failed to provide a source for your previous comments, which your second argument relies on.

That's equality disease. No matter how much training you give Stephen Hawkings, he will never be as good at the 100m dash as Usain Bolt. This isn't even close to what I'm saying. Again, equal opportunity, not equality. If someone has the capacity to fulfill a role, whether or not society thinks it's okay for them to fill that role, they should have the freedom to do so. Even making it socially unacceptable is wrong. Until you get 50% of women with college degrees dropping out of the full time wo…

No. YOU ARE. You are the one proposing that everyone is absolutely equal so we should have no gender roles. That's not what I'm saying at all. I don't believe in equality, but equal opportunity. The specific roles set up for genders are important in a society, and yes, naturally people can be predisposed to those roles based on gender. However, labeling them as "gender" roles creates an obligation for people to fill those roles based on their sex, as opposed to their qualifications. I think what…

History is far from reliable as a source. What worked in the past doesn't necessarily imply it'll work in the present. There's way too many variables (technological advancements, improvements in health and education, etc.) to support your argument with history. What you're saying is that women should only ever fill female roles because they're women. Every single woman is better at female roles than any man, and every man is better at male roles than any woman. You're dealing with absolutes, in …

What are these "damages to society" you go on about? Explain to me why I seem to misunderstand how society works just because I vouch for equal opportunity. How could that ever be more damaging than confining people to specific roles in society? What you seem to go on about is that society would be more damaged if it let a woman abandon her role and take over a man's, as opposed to forcing a woman into a role she isn't qualified for. I want facts, details, proof, articles, peer reviewed studies,…

Let me start off by saying you're coming off as bigoted, so this is probably a lost cause anyways, but here we go. Yes, men and women are attracted to different roles. Yes, they are also pressured (by society) into different roles as well. There are numerous reasons for many individuals to choose what role they wish to hold in society. It's when you say that women are supposed to own this role or that, based on no other criteria than the fact that they are women. There is no role, no job, no pro…

Yeah, I'm on your side, examples like these are about the closest I've come to see any form of "censorship" in this sub, and that's a shaky definition of it at best.

I'm not going to say that women don't serve society.... they do, but in a female way (choosing, raising, and motivating men). I'm not even going to argue with you if you truly think this is a reality.

I've seen some of this happening, but maybe we do this because these people are irrational or extreme, not because we're "censoring ourselves" to pander to feminist extremists.

If you want a grossly over-simplified explanation for this, white people live in the suburbs outside of the city, and work in the urban areas; namely, the business districts. Minorities live in the urban areas and work low-level jobs wherever they can. Again, this is a grossly over-simplified statement, but it shows why inner-city schools do so poorly.

In truth, they really don't think at all. They assume all men are rapists and that women are oppressed and that being a man means you're privileged. I'll find a random quote from one of their posts to sum up what I'm talking about.

"If you loved me, you would..." "If you were my friend, you would..." I've made it my point to explain to anyone who uses a variation of these lines that I won't tolerate it. And if they choose to do so again, I'll actively avoid them.

Exactly. This guy has become exactly the person MRA fights against. It's not a matter of women's rights vs. men's rights, it's a matter of combating this radical mentality that plagues every social movement.

almost 100 percent of rapists are men, and almost all pedophiles are men To sum up her argument: "all rapists are men, therefore all men are rapists." I can't even fathom the sheer amount of stupidity it would take to seriously believe this statement. I can feel my brain cells deteriorating just from reading that. And to think, people like this actually exist. It's disgusting.

Exactly. Another issue with this is taking the quote out of context, one assumes that women are the ones who perpetuate this idea, when it's in fact society as a whole. This miscommunication is what deteriorates social movements such as feminism, because it reinforces the "us vs. them" mentality, instead of focusing on the big picture.

Label me what you want. It doesn't matter if I'm pro-MRM, pro-feminist, anti-MRM, male, female, straight, gay, whatever. A quick look through my profile will show you I actually support MRM, but that's beside the point. My ideologies have nothing to do with the deserved criticism of OP's flowchart. Notice how I said the format makes me cringe. I said nothing about the content, or intention, or potential hate-mongering the flowchart possesses. The flowchart itself, as a flowchart, is just poorly …

Formal complaints over sexism should be last resort for women: The negative impact of formal reporting outweighs any benefits, writes a lawyer. Instead, define your boundaries early on. last resort In no way does that insinuate that women shouldn't report sexual harassment, yet she spends the rest of the article attacking the Guardian as if it had.

You don't understand, it's the people who don't understand statistics who focus more on stats. Those who have at least minimal instruction in stats knows to take every one with a grain of salt, and focus more on the big picture.

There's a lot of important classes that should be taken in school. Too bad our education system is focused on the "highly debatable" issue of teaching evolution or creationism.

I wasn't supporting anyone, really. When this issue of feminism/men's rights gets brought up, there's almost always skewed stats used by both sides.

veering off topic for a second, it should really be mandatory to take at least an entry-level stats class in high school or college. It's honestly astounding how little people know how to understand or interpret statistics.

Speak to a 911 operator and they'll tell you that most of the domestic violence complaints are with women being the victims. Ha! most of the DV complaints reported by the police. As if DV can't happen unless someone reports it, duh. /s

Regardless of how malicious the intent is and assuming the intoxicated person is too incoherent to make good judgment calls, it was still that person's choice to get that drunk in the first place. If he/she were to drive while drunk, he/she holds the blame. If he/she gets in a fight while drunk, whether or not the other person is sober and/or starts the fight, the blame still falls partly on him/her. However, if she gets drunk and has sex with someone, none of the blame falls on her. I emphasize…

My moral compass tells me that if I create a child, I am obligated to support it. Except for the situation where you, as a woman (assuming you are a woman) have the right to relinquish that obligation: either through adoption or abortion. Men don't have that luxury of choice. Upvoting, however, for contributing to the conversation.
