2	Feminist: only feminism can effectively advocate for men's issues because "the lacking of a theoretical background disqualifies the men's rights activism from making serious claims about sexism." Lol! I believe the explanation for that is that the reason VAWA was blocked by the House was because the language in the new version of the bill extended protections to immigrant women and LGBT couples in abusive relationships. The blocking of VAWA was the centerpiece of the "War on Women" discourse going around last year, and the logic is that since VAWA is pro-women and was blocked on anti-immigration and anti-LGBT grounds, that they were also pro immigrant and LGBT rights.	/r/MensRights	11/04/13 06:20 AM

10	Only nine states allow men to change their last name to their new wife's name when they get married. It probably harkens back to the days where marriages were more like business transactions, and a woman taking a man's name denoted her as his.
