Look, I'm assuming you're young because only a young person would think they know better than an average 35 year old. It's ridiculous. Aaand you’re wrong, because I’m far older than 20. And when pressed about it, you start throwing around shit like projection - which doesn't make any sense in this case. What the hell did I say that was projecting anything? Actually you were the one who threw around words like “grandiose narcissist” and saying that you were “surrounded by incompetence” - projecti…

Yes I think that’s fair to say - I suppose comparing a 25 yr old and a 35 yr old would have been a better (more believable) example but I was also purposely trying to be hyperbolic - OP seems to have a thing about age gap relationships lol

Your brain finishes biological maturation around 24-25, yes, but some people don’t necessarily “grow up” by that age; as a corollary, some people have to mature very quickly by a much earlier age in order to adapt to/overcome life circumstances. And given that I see plenty of adults flip out and act like children when they don’t get their way, including on this very sub, I stand by my assertion that age does not dictate maturity.

Ridiculous argument because you've set up a a scenario that is so obvious you can't create an argument against it. How is it obvious that a 20 yr old would be more mature than someone who is 35? You can’t argue against it because my point is valid - age does not dictate maturity. If OP wants to argue that women like older men because they offer stability and security, a young man with the same qualities could be a better choice as a partner, and by the same logic, a woman would choose a more sta…

Exactly, mindset is everything. Some young people aren’t interested in the lifestyle of their peers and prefer to be with more mature people, who are often older than them.

I disagree and would say maturity is really the deciding factor here, rather than age. A 20 year old man who already has the mental and emotional capacity to be a great partner is a far better potential partner to women than a 35 year old man who lacks the same qualities. Age does not dictate maturity - experience, self reflection, and action to grow and change as a person do.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
