So, from what I know, when women, specifically those that don’t work out, talk about muscularity, they almost always mean shreddedness and not (just) muscularity. So yeah, I agree. It’s the same when women that just started going to the gym, say they don’t want to be muscular. They always mean bulky. They don’t want to be bulky.

The uncomfortable feeling of hearing your own voice is normal, since we’re not used to hearing our own voice. Record yourself talking and listen to it. Do that often enough and eventually you’ll get used to your voice. Besides sounding „feminine“ I advise you to learn how to talk professionally. You can have the cutest/sexiest/whatever sounds feminine to you voice but the words you use, your grammar, your tone, passive aggressiveness etc. dictate how you will be perceived. So focus on that. Ther…

Well yeah ofc but physical attraction will fade rapidly if you get to know a person and they turn out to be an asshole. You also don’t stay in a relationship just because of physical attraction. And if we’re talking about marriage, you shouldn’t marry someone that’s just physically attractive. Yeah you need physical attraction at first but no one questioned that. My point is that you shouldn’t marry someone that you still just have a crush on. Marrying your crush means marrying during a phase in…

Having a crush doesn’t equal love. Being around someone also doesn’t mean knowing them. Sure you can get married but everything that has been stated here aren’t indicating that this will be a good marriage. Sure it’s possible that it will workout somehow but still.

Maturity isn’t necessarily linked to your age. I think when your mom says you’re not mature, it’s more about your behaviour and less about your age. But never the less, I’d still say most young adults aren’t mature or how I‘d describe it: they act as if they have no accountability or responsibility. It’s not inherently their age but it’s the way they grew up and what they think people around 20 years should act. Imo, maturity is about being accountable, responsible and reflected. According to my…

People can have their standards. I think a man that’s a virgin himself has the right to want a woman who’s also a virgin. Nothing wrong with that. It’s a simple preference. To me it’s as if you have a hair colour preference. Don’t make such a big deal about it, simply choose to not date such guys if you find it weird.

Could you please elaborate what makes a man secure in your opinion?

Well firstly gender roles. Secondly if you’re in a relationship where everything is or seems 100/0, staying would make it your fault for not having the self respect to leave or talk about it. Also, thirdly, different people have different love languages. Someone who likes to give gifts but has a partner who shows their love through different ways might think that that relationship feels like their giving everything, when in reality both partners are giving but just in different ways. I noticed t…

Why on earth would you lose respect for your beloved partner if he does something that you’re enjoying? Your partner would have to do something that’s a complete dealbreaker in order to lose respect, like eating out different girl, so basically cheating. The only other scenario I can think of that could lead to a loss of respect is when the guy completely ignores his partners boundaries.

It’s not a flex to be a hookup guy for women though. It’s just what some men, that also think it’s a flex to have a high body count, think.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 12:18 PM

Because men and women aren’t the same. Both biolologically and socially we are different. If you just want to hook up with people, level up your appearance. Or have hookups with people that are on your level appearance wise. Don’t expect to have a hookup with someone that’s way more attractive than you. This also usually doesn’t work in relationships. Also, not all women want hookups. Don’t expect to hear that you’re a FWB material from someone that’s after a LTR. Edit: Reread my comment above, …

I don’t understand what you’re pointing towards. Are you questioning why women have more standards in terms of attractiveness in a FWB? If it’s the reasoning behind it that you’re after, I think it’s because hotness and good character traits don’t correlate perfectly. If that was the case, then the men that are chosen to be FWB partners, would also be potential LTR partners. I’m not sure if you haven’t noticed it but some 10/10 people, have horrible personalities. At least that’s my experience (…

No it’s not. I should’ve elaborated my point. I believe there are studies on this topic, basically women chose different partners for hookups and different partners for LTR. What you have seen in your friends doesn’t show that women are truly attracted to hookup partners. It just shows that LTR requires effort because you have to get to know a person and finding someone to hookup with doesn’t require that. You should act in accordance to what you want. Finding someone to hookup with is easy, fin…

You’re confusing hook ups with LTR partners.

I think this is just a naturalistic fallacy. Just because heterosexual people have been doing PIV for decades, doesn’t mean this should be or is the way of having sex and giving a woman an orgasm. I think calling something misogynistic by nature is flawed. We‘re just built different. I think the second point you made (cultural reinforcement) doesn’t really speak for your argument, rather it points to something else. The framing of sex in media (which isn’t something that started recently when th…

Hmm, I do get your point and I‘m not fully disagreeing, I‘m just split in opinions. I also don’t care about the song. But I did find the announcement of the album really weird. Anyway, no it’s not the biggest problem. But when one guy rants about something in a post on reddit it doesn’t make it a big mens problem. Is the post exaggerated? Yeah a bit I think. Is it completely irrelevant? No, it’s not imo. But imo nothing that’s trending really is "irrelevant". Trends influence us and we might as …

Uhh I don’t think that’s how it works. You need critical thinking skills in order for "toxic men“ to listen to that song and question themselves. It also has to reach men and I doubt that most men will ever listen to that song.

I don’t think the actual issue is that songs that objectify and sexualise women or insult men exist. I think the main issue is that they’re still getting produced. It’s best to focus on what can be changed instead of what can’t. You don’t erase the existence of songs that sexualise women by just pulling a uno reverse card and making hateful songs about men. Sure it’s a „sign“ but it doesn’t lead anywhere. Stop the hate all together.

I don’t think our society is screwed. I think you just formed that opinion based on dating apps. If you want a LTR partner, you shouldn’t search for it on a platform that most people use to find hook up partners. Try making friends in real life instead for example through a hobby or interest you have. It’s easier and imo better to get to know people in real life.

Idk if that same logic applies to fathers but seeing my dad cry actually made me gain a lot of respect for him. Not everyone thinks that having respect for someone means being feared of them. A lot of people have respect for people that they admire.

I like the checklist and I agree with most things but there’s one thing I’d like to add: Respect isn’t a binary thing. It will change throughout the relationship because you two change. If there is something that made you lose some respect for your partner, tell them about it and tell them that it’s important to you that they work on it and eventually fix it. Now, the most important part is being patient, waiting and observing. Depending on what the issue was, change might take time so give him …

I don’t want to give you false hopes but you’re talking about top 10%, maybe even top 1% of men here if everything you listed is equally as important. First, you most need to be “high quality” too. Second, could you rank these things by importance?

Just an add on: Don’t date any guy that‘s compulsively obsessed with anything. It’s not just video games. I say this as someone who has a boyfriend that plays video games. My boyfriend probably plays video games in the same manner that your husband watches sports. It’s not excessive, it’s just a hobby/interest they act upon but it doesn’t take up their whole time and keeps them from spending time with us. Other than that, OP, you should practice hobbies that you like. Don’t do something you don’…

I think it’s a societal issue that both men and women assume the dumbest and most hilarious shit about each other that is never based on what the other gender actually said or thought. It’s often just what people of your own gender told you about the other gender. Basically stereotypes. And yes I completely agree with you. It’s annoying as fuck. We have so many tools of communication, yet fail to communicate properly.

You sound so single and childless. OP has a toddler that needs her energy, she is probably not getting the sleep she needs, it doesn’t seem like her husbands help (and i‘m not sure if I can even call that help) is enough and she’s probably stressed 24/7. You’re not completely wrong, the things you said can help BUT they don’t help if your partner doesn’t fucking care and it’s also pretty much impossible to make yourself do these things if you don’t even have time for yourself.

As dumb as it sounds, search it up and write down what you find about it, then ask him for approval if that’s what he wants. He may not be capable of putting it into his own words. And concerning the other things, you need to try to work that out with hin through conversations. Discuss what’s possible concerning the change of dinner time and make sure it fits both of your schedules. Compromises just have to be made. Also, do you still flirt, go on dates or do other stuff together like participat…

If you genuinely want to give him the freedom to express his sexuality in a way that feels natural for him without imposing limits or making him feel judged: Rethink if you actually want a relationship or not. Girl you don’t seem to have any boundaries. Your boyfriend doesn’t seem very monogamous to me. As a monogamous person in a monogamous relationship myself, A LOT of lines have already been crossed. Everything from the instagram account to watching porn would be a big red flag for me. Please…

Okay then, when did you two decide to meet sunday? I’m assuming it happened after you’ve told him it doesn’t bother you that you haven’t met yet. You can text him and clarify the situation but I think the “No” should’ve been sent more mindfully of what reaction it might cause

If I had to guess if your values are more traditional or modern just by reading this, I wouldn’t need much time to conclude that you’re confused about what’s traditional and what’s not. You said that you’re both looking for marriage but also told him that you don’t bother meeting him. He sent you the 300 that you “didn’t ask for” but you proceeded to ask him for another 100. If your plan was to continue talking to him, asking for another 100 wouldn’t be that “bad”. But since you literally said y…

Yeah that’s exactly my point. Therefore I don’t think it’s easy to give any advice because there are systematic issues in society and these issues are way harder to treat than individual issues.

Yeah but what if they aren’t? I wish everyone had those people present in their life but a lot of people clearly don’t. What’s the solution for these people?

That’s great advice but where are those people? No algorithm on any app usually promotes non drama content. (Referring to your first sentence)
