It’s more accurate to say that everyone can learn to cultivate contentment. Contentment is simply the absence of suffering. The American dream philosophy attaches contentment to material shit. That’s where it goes wrong. It’s still an attainable goal, but it is certainly not attainable by everyone. But, practically speaking, everyone’s so shit that, if you’re equipped with the right knowledge, you can make it pretty comfortably far along the road of the American dream.
