Female, blue pill, straight. Sleep: Already lost a lot of sleep over this man Kidney: I would. Life: No. Given the state he's been in recently, I suspect if I were to die he wouldn't live much longer. As for what he'll sacrifice for me... I'm too concerned he won't sacrifice enough to live for me. Don't even want to consider him dying for me.

Not going to try and guess the most common, but I will say one of the reasons I think get's shut down too quickly: ignorance. So many people against consent education are quick to say "rapists don't rape because they don't know what rape is" but there ARE the odd cases out there that would have been prevented if the rapist had received a proper explanation of consent. Sometimes one person gets consent while someone's awake but then their partner falls asleep and rape occurs because the awake per…

You lost me at "Ancient Rome, straight men". Romans didn't have gay/straight/bi. There was a big difference socially if you were the "pitcher" or "catcher", but you're still projecting modern notions of sexuality on a culture that doesn't share them. How we conceived sexuality was only recently constructed. Hell, 100 years ago the term "heterosexuality" was used to describe a perverted sexuality to the opposite sex. Only a couple decades later was it used to describe "normal" sexuality.

I know when I'm in the city, the biggest reason I avoid interaction with strangers is tons of people are trying to sell you shit. I'm not afraid of most strange men, just not interesting in what they are "selling".

I'd say the last example is perfectly reasonable, since rape is a subset of sexual assault. The others aren't using them interchangeably at all. Rather by saying "rape AND sexual assault" they are acknowledging the two are not exactly the same. I do think people confuse the two and I'm not sure how intentional it is. A couple new years ago there was that huge story about mass sexual assaults committed by immigrants across europe. People against immigration called it a rape epidemic, even though …

female, blue pill Shortest: hours Current: months after meeting. A week or two after he asked me out. I apparently have the worst timing. He had a cold sore on our first date so we didn't even kiss. Then I got my period before the second. Would have slept with him the day we met, but I had no idea he was interested in me. Bonus: I haven't told him about anyone specifically, but he asked me out after a conversation we were all having where I compared online dating to my previous relationships tha…

No, sexual thoughts aren't objectifying. Neither is having sex. Having sexuality is very human. Being 100% sexuality is not. Seeing someone as ONLY for sex likens them to a tool or say... object. I'd say there's some real nuance lost here, but it's not even really that subtle. Don't just read every other word. It's about being ONLY for sex, MERELY a tool, SOLEY for your pleasure. I can't really tell if so many people here are just getting prematurely defensive about normal sexuality because of t…

I disagree with the general oversimplification of why people do what they do. Both sides act like there always one singular reason why women do X or why men prefer Y. There's a lot of research suggesting people make decisions without any conscious justification, and if forced to explain their actions will come up with reasons based on information they didn't have when making the decision. Many social science fields have been trying to understand why people act the way they do for years, but ever…

I don't know what kind of sexuality you have, but when I look at someone I'm attracted to, they aren't an "object". I don't suddenly forget that there's more to the person than their outward appearance. Even when I fantasize, the personality and desires I dream up in a partner don't start and end with having sex with me. I consider an entire person with agency, which makes it a lot easier to notice in real life when the people I'm attracted to show signs of desires that exclude me. I think that'…

Being attracted to someone isn't the same as objectifying them. Expressing your attraction in a way that dismisses the subject's own feelings, desires, and the human qualities that are not sexual is objectifying. Think some random stranger on the subway is attractive? No problem. Become so blinded by your own desires that you disregard their desire not to engage with you? Objectifying. Have a preference for a certain hair style or are turned off by a certain quality? Cool. Feel that people who y…

I'd appreciate it, but depending on the size I might insist he eat most of it. My SO currently gives me too much candy and baked goods. It's actually an ongoing debate in our relationship.

I can't even begin to understand why someone would suddenly decide to wait for marriage after a long history of having sex, so I won't speculate on their rational. I also wouldn't see it as a "trend", there are just occasionally oddball celebrity cases. However, I can identify with a less extreme case: waiting a couple dates to have sex with someone who has ONS. My first three relationships started as hookups where the guy wanted something more serious afterwards. I was so used to the whole narr…

I think the bigger issue is when the repulsion is based on a double standard. An extremely high n count would bother me, and I'm a woman. Whenever men try to explain why men with high n counts should be attractive while women with high n counts should not, it's never as "logical" as they claim. It's always based in pseudo science or self-fulling prophecies that mask emotional insecurities and jealousy. There are logical reasons, but all them apply to men as well.

That's like asking an atheist what heaven and hell is like. The terms are taken from outdated theories on animal mating behavior. They have since disproven the concept of "alphas" among wolves and many other species, so why would you expect them to exist among humans? There are certainly men who sleep with more women than others. There are also men who spend a lot of time and money on women, and end up getting shot down more often than not. However sometimes they are the same man, so how can you…
