Look at the VAWA literature- it’s jam packed with money for police departments, district attorney’s offices and the like. VAWA was basically a DV arrests = money formula for policing. Dot orgs are a little questionable in terms of their data collection strategies and techniques. The pew research study is interesting because their methodology states that they gathered results 100% from self report of those who were surveyed- couples weren’t asked as a unit.
