It definitely won’t, but it might

For sure - if someone says their taste is a, b or c, I’ll believe it, and the fact that I might be prone to attributing a psychopathology to it doesn’t affect my belief, even though it can be fun/interesting.

I honestly thought that’s what the person I was replying to was shooting at, but apparently not… It strains my credulity that pudgy, short and bald actually tick some people’s boxes, but I won’t disbelieve what I’m being told, though I may wonder whether poor self esteem and self-imagery inform some people’s tastes.

Adding to this, the sexiness factor intensifies when they're particularly handy, for example they work in some utility role or other, perhaps janitorial or similar, and they have a nice tanned/darkened completion.

Absolutely. There are some things you just don’t talk about in polite company. “I think if we look at this through a Blackpill filter, we can… - what’s the Blackpill? Well, let me explain!”

It’s still the norm. These Blackpill/redpilled etc communities are not representative of society as a whole. It’s true that some of the pills have leeched into “normie culture” but by and large, you will still receive predominantly blue-pilled advice outside of and even on the internet.

More than 10% of men have six-packs? I can only assume your online viewing material is inflating your sense of just how low body-fat the male population is.

This needed to be more visible than the cringily gold-awarded saccharine reply.

I’ve learned from a few comments and subsequent downvotes in this thread that people actually do “prefer” overweight partners. I personally find that surprising, but I’m removed from American culture and it might be that standards have genuinely shifted up the scales in the US due to what’s perceived as “normal”. So I stand corrected in stating that preference for obesity is “uncommon”.

That's like asking a homeless person scavenging the bins behind MacDonald's - "damn, you like discarded burgers?"

That's an unusual fetish probably linked to insecurity, control and humiliation and is not standard for the population. Most people do not find rolls of fat attractive and it's a case of taking what they can get, or rationalising their limited options as a preference.

Based on how insanely, almost autistically mis-cued this conundrum is, I think you might be right. Would you rather drink a chai latte, or a chai latte that tasted like shit but the barista put his (metaphorical) blood and tears into it?

Of course she knows. There’s a reason she messaged a guy with a garage background at 3am with a car-specific problem. What people don’t seem to get in this thread is that OP has very obviously already agreed to take care of everything. There’s no “um just to clarify” backing up out of this obligation without doing some damage.

I don’t know if it’s “most”, as we’re likely guilty of having a false consensus, but it’s definitely a thing, or at least it has been for me. And yes, it’s brutal because it’s fucked up. Some situations are more disposable than an incredibly awkward conversation, however.

I think the claim is borne from the fact that any healthy-weighted women is at least somewhat attractive to the majority of men who are thirsty and sex-starved, but I agree that due to obesity rates, it has to be a false claim. However, someone above said "many people are into bigger women but are afraid to admit it due to the judgement of their peers", or something to that effect, so maybe standards have drifted somewhat and the majority-overweight population really do have a Venus of Willendor…

This is actually very insightful advice. To be oneself, all the while mentally preparing for random, unpredictable occurrences. It’s posts like these that I fee users of this sub will benefit the most from.

The self-deception is a bit cringe. No matter how strongly you tell yourself you're actually *hoping* for a rejection, it'll never be true. It's still a decent strategy though (for men who are happy with the ham-fisted "numbers-game" approach that's adopted only by the most brazenly unconscientious), because it can be framed as "win-win" - you got the number? Great! You got a rejection? Great, tally me up, boys!".

Are posts always this ultra derivative and cringe here? I don’t normally visit, but holy shit, gentlemen. Take a shower? Get a hobby?! Go to the gym?!! Unless this is a satirical zone and it’s going over me head.

You don’t have to designate dates necessarily. It’s the deed that describes, not the name we give it. You went out to dinner alone with her. She knew what was up. For whatever reason, she’s decided she’s not into you and has used the “catching up with a friend” as a face-saving “out”. Move on, and good luck.

You’ve made this post at multiple points in the past and most of the advice was pretty spot on. The good news is that you’ve grown an inch in the last few months and are no longer considered a dwarf (you were 4’10” before) and you may still have some growing to do since you’re only 18. It’s bleak out there for you. You might find someone but you basically have a disability so the population of females willing to contend with that is vanishingly small.

If person A says "all men are liars", and person B replies "well, all men aren't liars, because there's a subset of men that are demonstrably anti-lie, and make truthfulness a lifestyle choice", I would hope that person A didn't feel compelled to clarify their use of a particular rhetorical device, presumably as a mechanism to make person B look foolish. Anyway, we agree, men approach far more, as it's socially accepted that the burden of pursuit falls on the man, but I did want to clarify that …

Do all men approach everything with a pulse? I'd venture to say that the majority don't. The incel claim would be that Chads specifically approach everything with a pulse, and receive positive results, whereas incels don't approach anyone at all (which is part of the problem, but another discussion).

This is obviously a manufactured scenario. The real version would have went as follows: Astro: Hey Stacey. this is from Astro. When do you wanna start working on our presentation? Astro: It's due in two weeks. [An hour passes] Astro: I'm going to the library tomorrow about noon, we probably should make a start [Following day] Astro: Suit yourself.
