well to be fair rape is one of those crimes that are really hard to prove happened if the perpetrator isn’t an idiot or if the person who was raped didn’t do anything about it very soon after
fairly common according to when i’ve been downvoted on random reddit threads talking about things like this (it was about how if a woman was intoxicated but clearly showed consent and was aware of the situation, and the man had drunk as well, it wasn’t rape)
i don’t think this kind of logic is a good idea- “let’s ignore racism against minorities in the US because there are minorities still enslaved in other countries”
