Its obviously your personality, and the fact that you seem so oblivious to that possibility proves it. You are probably smug, conceited, shallow, uncaring, rude, self-centered, OR at least some combination of a couple of those things, which btw, should be expected for someone of your generation or for your age of any generation. And then on top of that, youre someone who is physically attractive and knows it. Its your personality.

Leading does not mean being the only one with ideas or opinions. Following does not mean being silent or without agency.

How cool would that be if she could school her next date on the barbarian invasions, or Caesars assassination.

Your boyfriend is attracted to women. Feminine women. Not strong prideful woman. Girly, feminine, lacie, frilly, clean, fresh-scented women. Why? Because hes a straight man. While it’s true that Love is above all those things, attraction is not. That is the part your tribe never learned, or never wanted to teach you.

I think for most people, most of their taste and moral judgment is post hoc justification of early conditioning.

Thats the beauty of commitment. Just send it and refuse to quit no matter what. Allows you to lower your standards and expectations back down to realistic and healthy levels.

If a 5% change affects you that much, imagine being your husband knowing that the slightest change in his mood will cause you to almost panic. Thats not a fun place to be. It sounds like codependence to me.

Maybe reevaluate your goals and priorities. Maybe youre doing it all for the wrong reasons because of what your ideas are about what you should be doing. Usually based on what you were taught when you were young. When usually it becomes a lot more effortless when you come up with your own reasons that you can believe in based on your own individual wants, needs, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Also common is some form of self sabotage as a way of protection. Love is not a fairy tale. Its rough, and …

Nothing should be happening per se. But I would expect there to be hidden internal ulterior motivations for having sex. You’re work would be to discover, explore, and understand those motivations and their roots, and to do so with intention, and without judgment. In other words, when theres an urge, dont follow the urge (abstain). Instead, do literally anything else, but preferably dont smother or repress the urge. Just try to understand why its happening by being quiet, still, open, curious, an…

As someone else said - go nun mode for a while. Try not having sex and pay close attention to what happens in your mind as you abstain. Learn and grow.

The problem here is youre equating paying for food, with treating you with respect, and being a leader, which is ironically a very disrespectful way to view men - just a means to your entertainment and sustenance. Youre not a leader; youre a disrespectful feminist if you dont buy my food... lol okay, so be it. Bye.

I think youre still missing it. These men want to provide for THE RIGHT woman. An entitled woman is not the right one, no matter how pretty. Splitting the check is a nice little trick to determine how entitled the girl is. And its been fun watching all the rationalizing around why the girl "deserves" to not pay or whatever. These girls have been outing themselves because they cant fathom. Its about mindset.

OPs vocabulary shows her hand: "useless dates"... That right there is exactly what the guys are weeding out. I don't think theyre worried about someone they've only just met thinking they're a "useless, cheap, feminine" man. Like, at all. No matter how many other suiters she has. They dont want a second date with her. Thats the point. Girls with many "suitors" are seen as headaches anyway.

Its a test. Expect to pay. Thanks to feminism, you now have to prove youre worth paying for dinner. The first step is proving that you dont just expect him to pay on the first date when he doesnt know the first thing about you, including wether or not youre a spoiled brat. Youre wondering how to weed out worthless dates... the reality is theyre weeding you out. Dont shoot the messenger.

The word empath is commonly used to describe codependents, and children of alcoholics and addicts and chaotic homes. Having empathy is one thing. Processing and demonstrating it appropriately is another. When done appropriately, yes its a very good thing.

Forgive yourself. Dont expect to be perfect. Expect to be human. Your ex is not blameless, Im sure. Focus on growth, not perfection. Focusing on perfection is planning to fail.

"Where do you draw the line when it comes to taking accountability?" Where my responsibility ends and yours begins. "Why do men pressure women to take accountability?" This is oddly worded, but accountability is expected behavior for all mature adults. Not sure what your experience has been, but if someone needs to be "pressured" to take accountability, its best to not even try and part ways with them.

From where I sit, it sounds like you need to practice following your man. Let him lead. Look to him. Give up control. Watch him, learn from him, allow him to lead. Ask him questions. Show genuine interest in him and what he wants and then provide that. Make yourself available to him. Beauty fades. What else can you offer your man?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
