You bring up a good point. I did preface my text with "I know you barely know me, but ...", but your point still stands. I think I went in too hard and that's the reason why she gave it a no.

I would usually agree with you, but the specific girl I was talking to who said that was a recruited volleyball player in great shape. She legitimately an incredible body, so I feel telling her to "get to the gym" would just make her feel like shit without getting anything productive done.

I understand it makes sense to not give validation frequently, but am I really going to say something along the lines of, "Nah you aren't ugly, just unique"? That shit seems brutal, but mostly because it's shit they can't really change. The examples he provided in the video were of shit she could change -- her weight, her hair, her style. I'm all for a neg, but I feel the scenario where she genuinely can't change is different.

In most scenarios, just pay before she has the chance to ask. It's 2.5 dollars, it's super insignificant. However, it starts getting odd when she starts asking for you to pay for stuff. If she's not hooking up with you, you're a friend, nothing more and you should either get her to pay for it or get her to pay you back. That's what friends do. You need to expand your horizons here. She isn't going to disinvite you / invite you to a party whether or not you give her ice cream. It doesn't work lik…

I like that you are thinking with nuance -- I tend to fall into binary thinking. Banter works well, but I think people fall into the trap of saying something risky with banter and then shit falling flat. It's a fine line and for me personally, it's better to avoid risk than to it is to get an outlier that falls for you due to your text-banter. Most of the time it isn't worth the risk.

Two things: You don't like your new plate that much and you haven't given the breakup enough time. I've been there. It sucks until it doesn't, even with girls that are more attractive than your past oneitis. Give it time, next whoever you're with and keep improving.

That sounds really odd... I'd choose a venue or something to do that doesn't put a ton of pressure on you. Going for a walk is an odd choice.

No. Don't fuck with your test levels. You can diminish your anxiety in many other ways. Just to name a few: meditation, lifting, and a consistent sleep schedule will significantly reduce your anxiety. Social Media is a trap. You will feel insignificant and constantly compare yourself to the people around you. Nothing has been so good at reducing my anxiety as when I dropped all social media accounts. Get in the habit of talking to girls, but don't hold yourself to the standard of sleeping with g…

A fight involves two people. Don't fucking fight him. Run away if you need to, even if it makes you look like a bitch. You are letting him take control of your life. Your education is infinitely more important than winning this battle. Don't attempt to "command respect". He doesn't respect you and you don't get respect from asking. Be a nice guy and when he tests you, agree and amplify. Showing that you aren't butthurt by him is the best way of actually getting respect.

When someone gets their panties into a wrinkle, often they attack the person who is causing them to get into a frustration. I treat it as a harsher form of a shit test. They aren't garbage for acting irrational. You don't need to be their counselor or put in a greater time commitment. You don't argue, you just move on with the interaction. I think that we agree that if someone consistently does this they should be dropped. But dropping someone for guilt tripping you seem to negate any time you h…

He's telling you that you have a weak frame because you feel the need to justify yourself for nearly everything in your post. There is no problem, but since you cannot hold a frame in general, you have taken this (non)issue to heart and feel the need to fight someone for getting their own ego hurt.

Ok first of all, you have a non-issue. I'm going to explain this situation as I see it. Someone got butthurt because you are good at school and they aren't. Good work. Someone is treating you with disrespect because they are jealous. Ignore whatever they say, they don't matter that much. You feel the most viable ways of diffusing this situation are to get physical and to use amused mastery to "reduce him to pieces". You are thinking irrationally. He is not that powerful. People don't scheme unle…

I agree in that saying you want to meet her is an awkward thing to do. You should make an effort to meet her though. In fact that is the only thing you SHOULD be doing through texting. Say something along the lines of: "I found this restaurant that looks delicious and is relatively undiscovered, you should tag along." It doesn't really matter what it is, but make an excuse for her coming out that doesn't involve giving all of your power away.

You're being cockblocked by their friends. You must become amicable with the friends in order for them to feel comfortable enough that they let go of their friend. Women are pack animals - They won't let a friend make a decision that they think the friend will regret. You could be the most ripped dude on earth, but if these friends view you as a threat for a pump and dump, they'll cockblock you. The thing that's great is that you don't even need to do that much effort. If you genuinely seem like…

I'm going to ironically justify myself here and explain: I associate with people even if they guilt trip. If someone is passionate about something, guilt-tripping is actually something that should be expected. If it's a consistent pattern, sure, you are correct and the person should be dropped. I'm not giving anyone "the benefit of the doubt". I realize people are emotional and act irrationally. If these actions form a pattern or indicative of some bigger problem, absolutely, then, by all means,…

If you think someone is completely lost because they have begun to guilt trip you or start acting possessive, you're going to lose a majority of the people that you could have been with in the first place. They aren't "Crazies" -- most people who are indoctrinated with certain ideologies will feel very strongly about it and will get "triggered" to a certain extent. But not all of them are completely lost. An example: I met a very attractive SJW and she asked me early on in the interaction whet…

"How to avoid [Guilt, Possessiveness, and Rage]? Run." What? Running is essentially you failing the test. I agree that removing yourself from scenarios is a reasonable thing to do in some scenarios, but you are bound to come across these traits someway or another. Running away will essentially make you lose every one of these scenarios. "How to negotiate them if you are set on fixing your relationship: Hold Frame" Also, What? Holding frame is the epitome of not negotiating. Holding frame in ma…

I think the lesson here isn't just "Don't be beta", but that face to face interactions are the most effective way of getting someone to commit. Each one of these involved the dude attempting to seduce a woman from a distance. It doesn't work like that. I think something that PUA has correct is the idea that texting is for logistics only. Saves time and more importantly saves you from saying shit that will raise red flags.

I actually have tried it out twice. Both times I went out and walked around at night and found it to be helpful for understanding what I was truly feeling. Thank you for the suggestion, it's actually made an impact on my life. The one method I've found better than this is to actually talk about it with my very closest friends. One of my close friends went through a breakup a few days after me and it has been comforting knowing I'm not entirely alone in my experience.

I think you're correct. Time heals all wounds, and I thought I could cheat that rule. I'm unsure what the monk mode would look like though -- I'm already off nearly all social media (excluding reddit) and have essentially been on NoFap since I started having sex regularly. I don't know what more I could do. Any advice would be appreciated.

I like that idea of voice memos on walks. Thank you for giving me that idea. My odd form of self reflection which I have partaken is writing down my principles all in one document to accumulate all of my life lessons into one document. It hasn't been as cathartic as I assume the voice memos have been, but it has given me a way to express what I am feeling.

My hobbies are reading and playing guitar, though it's hard to push through the plateau I've reached after playing guitar for 10 years. I appreciate you letting me know I'm on the right track -- It's hard to feel like I'm doing something correctly when I don't have immediate signs right now that things are changing.
