Pointed this thought problem out a week or so ago when someone asked "why don't more women help with men's rights advocacy" or something like that. Got downvoted and didn't expect it to be controversial here, but yeah. Obviously because of the things you pointed out, men being fully responsible simply because men have been in charge historically is a silly notion. Population-wise, most women have had the right to vote since the 50s and have been increasing female representation as well. Takes ti…

I cannot believe what I'm hearing. Using garbage fairy tales that define distinct gender roles. Oh, that's just great for human rights. Hope you enjoy fighting holy wars while women stay home and maintain their modesty.

Oh good thing we have you to explain it - not. If you're trying to summarize what you see in the sub, there are a lot of extremists that come in and don't understand the philosophy. Antinatalism is first and foremost about consent. To that end, forced sterilization/vasectomy is antithetical to antinatalism. The idea is that people can't consent to being born and the things they will personally face in their life. Therefore, since content cannot be given they should be left to not exist at all. N…

Ooof, these positions don't seem rational. As I learn more about men's human rights issues, it seems I'm going to have to go and update my knowledge about what's going on in women's spaces.

Wow, I thought feminists felt they were underrepresented in male jobs, so it doesn't make sense to argue (quite unsuccessfully, from the sounds of these arguments) against their suitability - that's pretty weird wtf! Also, if they consider men better suited for those physical tasks and therefore believe they must do them, then it follows that women are obviously suited for childbirth and must do that?? Doesn't sound like something they'd want to say. LOL, this logic is truly nonsensical whew! In…

Quite honestly, if responsibilities are unequal in the household, there is no reason why a woman can't and shouldn't learn things like leaf blowing, cleaning gutters up on a ladder, shoveling, painting, pruning etc... I do a lot of this stuff and actually think it's pretty ok compared to cleaningi indoors, but we take the car to the dealership for maintenance and we handle pruning big limbs together. If she went in on a single family home then these are the responsibilities. Women doing "man" ta…

I'm a woman - I don't consider myself a lurker tho as I post when I have something to say. I don't consider myself a feminist. That's some ideology that changes over the years. Rather, I am a woman who has lived my life in male spaces, and I have my own real experiences to go by. I grew up in an all-male household, went to school in a hugely male dominated area, and then worked in several male dominated workplaces. I don't need someone telling me what the problems are/aren't and what I should be…

Hmmm, do the women where you live have full-time employment? Being expected to do all the housework on top of that if you live with a partner would of course be unfair. I've experienced this and heard this complaint a lot in areas of the US that are occupied by working professionals living together in condos etc., where there's no real maintenance that needs to be done, but daily meals need to be made, the laundry and dishes needs done, dogs need walked, tub needs scrubbed, etc. It's important i…

Humans are still super tribal. So there is your group that you feel comfortable with, for no other reason than you associate with them a lot, they look like you, speak like you, etc.... Then there is the "other", and human have a lot of trouble empathizing with someone they perceive as other, just because they don't have as much experience with them. They can be told that other is just as human as them and just as worthy as them of consideration, but human empathy just doesn't work that way (yet…

Just curious, what is a high value man?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
