By some estimates there are over 120 million gun owners in the US who own over 400 million guns and over 7 trillion rounds of ammunition. Gun regulations are determined by the state, not the region so Vermont has generally lax laws while New Jersey has very strict ones, usually you can look at the percentage of urban area in a state and that will determine how harsh the gun laws are.

They misrepresent many things with guns, as does the mainstream media. I'd guess they push anything left leaning, but I dont get all my news from them or fox but read sites with opposite leanings.
