4	Rape of a female is more serious offence than rape of a male. "Crime Harm Index used by police says burglary is twice as bad as child abduction" The index probably accounts for frequency of the particular crime being committed as well as the magnitude of harm caused. Male rape occurs or is reported less often than female rape and given equal magnitude of harm such an index would rank the commoner crime higher.
