I'll take that as conceding the point.

r/AntiRedditMRAs Doesn't have the name of this subreddit. Try again. Edit: also, that name makes it sound like it's composed of MRAs that are anti-reddit.

But there's no punctuation. You try making a subreddit "against/mensrights" and see what happens.

Yes I did. It's why I said I don't think they actually hate men. [...] I don't know how I can make this any clearer. It's not clear at all because there's no indication you actually read the sidebar from your above statement. The fact that you said "I'm just saying they're dumb enough to say they hate men." suggests the opposite because if you bother to understand the context (which apparently you have) you will read it the right way: against /mensrights. In fact, you still seem to not understan…

Since it can be a little hard to read a sidebar and therefore understand why what you're saying isn't relevant I suppose, here is the direct quote: We are not against the concept of men's rights, we are against the "men's rights movement" -- if it can even be called that.

They're criticizing the users here, not the movement as a whole whether they say they are or not. They're criticizing individual members to criticize the movement as a whole. Unless you are one of the individuals posted about there, it has in no way said "that myself, as a man, am both bigoted and hateful because I share the fundamental beliefs of the Male Rights Movement." These instances they use in order to bring it down are members' single comments, not organized actions the group is taking.…

Here's a response: However, saying that myself, as a man, am both bigoted and hateful because I share the fundamental beliefs of the Male Rights Movement is either stupid or extremely misinformed. Apparently you are misinformed, because nowhere on AMR does it say that you are. It says the movement is. Thinking a few misogynists Well that's the thing, if it were just a "few misogynists" as you say we would be fine. But I think you'll see that this subreddit is proliferated with them. And I think …

Well to be fair, if it's men who are oppressing men, why are MRAs constantly lambasting feminists?

I asked them what they thought Tell me, did you ask them if they thought the messages were sexist?

Every statement should stand on its own. There's really no other way to interpret that statement than sarcastically. I doubt the moderators will restrict themselves to comply with your demands. It was only when I contacted the moderators that they used "sarcasm" as an excuse. Only when you contacted the moderators? What "excuse" was there before for that to be the excuse only when you contacted them? Because as far as I'm aware there is no statement on the subreddit about the upvote/downvote arr…

You're seriously saying that wouldn't be sexist? I would agree with that. "you must really hate the rights of women!" in a sarcastic sense separate from any additional context which may make it sexist is not sexist. If you believe one of them is sexist and the other one isn't, you don't stand for equality. This is untrue due to the greater context of systematic sexism against women, but it's kind of extraneous given that I agreed with your other contention.

Oh wait I think they stumbled into 4chans' /B/ and thought that was MRA When /r/MR posts a screenshot of a discussion on /b/ and upvotes + discusses it, is that not MRA?

wtf! it's ok because they're not serious? are they ok with all kinds of sexists jokes? There's a pretty big difference IMO: neither of those upvote/downvote messages are sexist.

a reliable source of information I'm not sure if Manboobz is a reliable source of information, but that post has screenshots and links to all of the comments in question. How much more reliable can it get than the original source?

This is a lot like the argument that SRS isn't a downvote brigade because it says so in their sidebar. Not at all. I have made no argument as to whether or not the subreddit is actually "against 'men's rights'" as ErasmusMRA puts it. That is a separate topic. Again, my only argument is that the title is not meant to convey that it is "against 'men's rights'," which there is no reason to doubt.

You seemed to be referring to their name as literally meaning having a desire for men to not have any rights (being against the rights of men); my only point is that this is not the intention of the name of the subreddit, opinions on intention aside.

They're against "men's rights", as in they don't want men to have any rights. Taken directly from the sidebar: We are not against the concept of men's rights, we are against the "men's rights movement"
