LTR lying about crush she had on a coworkerMan, this is wrong on so many levels. Don’t you have anything better to do with your life? I don’t even like talking like this, because I would rather build people up and see them succeed in life, but I believe it’s called for here... Stop being a bitch. Stop speculating. And just live your fucking life, without doing stupid shit. There were no red flags to speak of correct? Are you a slave driver? Would you like someone else to snoop on your conversations? First. I don’t care if there were 1000… | /r/askTRP | 02/08/19 03:31 PM
Buddy invites me home for a beer, but I do not drink. There’s not much you can do unless someone is truly ready to quit. That applies to everything, not just alcohol. It’s hard to deal with when it tears the family up like that. If you truly love them, just be there for support or to listen. One day they may be ready, maybe not, or maybe you’ll have to give your love from a distance... More than likely, they’re not intentionally trying to hurt anyone. You don’t have to sacrifice your life or goals, just don’t give up on them. I had an easier time q… | /r/askTRP | 29/07/19 01:13 PM
Buddy invites me home for a beer, but I do not drink.I’m glad to hear that. I’m an alcoholic myself. A sober one now, but I’ll always be an alcoholic. Keep your head up and best of luck wherever life takes you. | /r/askTRP | 28/07/19 10:05 PM
Buddy invites me home for a beer, but I do not drink.I don’t drink. Been 6 years this month. No one who I call a friend asks me to have a beer... Ever. My friends happily make me coffee, usually without asking and we enjoy each others company. Simple. I can be around people drinking now, and it doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t even mind someone who I don’t know asking me to have a drink. Asking me once is fine, twice is annoying, three times and I’m done with you. Usually, on the rare occasion I do attend a party, the drunkards offer to pour my c… | /r/askTRP | 28/07/19 06:31 PM
How to lead in a LTR when your GF obviously knows more?Had this exact experience before. You never been there before, you’re not losing frame (if you want to call it that) just because you don’t know the language or the country. I know enough Mandarin to buy what I need at the store, ride the MRT alone, simple things... But things can and have fallen apart while trying to have a conversation, or the corner store not having what I wanted. Treat every interaction as “fun” or “funny” regardless, and people will see the humor and have fun as well... Tha… | /r/askTRP | 28/07/19 05:52 PM
Being friends with womenWell, I wouldn’t call her a unicorn. Neither of us have been the best people... But we’ve always treated each other with care & respect, and we fully accept our faults and don’t care about them. Seriously, I never felt that way towards her, nor has anything happened between us. Now wether or not she’s felt something towards me? I honestly don’t know. We talk very candidly, but she’s never once said anything, subtle or otherwise. Edit: I replied and posted to the wrong spot. | /r/askTRP | 26/07/19 05:14 PM
Being friends with womenYou’re entitled to your opinion. I’m fine with that. I’m not here for advice, I’m just sharing my thoughts. I don’t need to fuck everything that moves, my love life is just fine. | /r/askTRP | 26/07/19 05:12 PM
Being friends with womenTrue. However, we’ve always respected each others relationships, by not being to close to be uncomfortable for whomever we were seeing at any given time. We always give space for our lives. The funny thing is, we never even had to discuss it. That’s just how we’ve always gone about things from day one. Maybe I just got lucky, but I feel honored to have the people closest to me in my life. And I know the feeling is mutual between us. Anyway, these are just my thoughts. | /r/askTRP | 26/07/19 04:23 PM
Being friends with womenMy three closest friends are two men and one woman. I was 15 when I met her, she was 13, we’re now 40 & 38. Never once was I ever attracted to her in a sexual way, even though she was and still is cute. I was at her wedding, I helped her through her divorce. I helped her around her house when she broke her arm and couldn’t do anything, cooked for her, did her laundry... Then built her confidence back up, and pushed her to live her life and travel like I did. She recently moved back here after 10… | /r/askTRP | 26/07/19 02:40 PM
